Airsoft is a sports game which is played by people, young and old, around world.
The age anyone can play this game depends on the insurance cover that each site has. Most sites in the UK, USA etc accept players from age 14, though many will also accept players as young as 10. I would advise that before playing Airsoft at any site, you make sure it has insurance cover for all players. Always wear eye protection when playing Airsoft, even if you are just playing in your backyard. Airsoft is non-lethal, no-one has ever been injured using these. It is not possible to convert these items to use anything other than little plastic BBs. Above all, Always play safe.

You have a lot more adults in Scotland than America does, we usually get a bunch of college kids and below, and we have very few airsofters older than that who play it as a hobby, but then again we have a lot more reenacting over in the U.S. .

Do you have a partner for filming both teams at once, or are your back-and-forth shots simply clever editing? If the latter, how do you determine which team to focus primarily and which shots to use for your jump-cuts?

Only one person, me. I go between the teams, following the action. In the case of this video, I focused on Ricky & Daedalus because they had the latest ICS Transform4 guns. On the opposite team I focused on a few few players with guns that interested me, such as Marcus with the G&G AK and Johny Law with the ICS CXP, which he won in a raffle, at Section8, that day.

Hi, love watching the vid's but I do hate to see you guy's using the Hi-cap mags! When you have so many people playing on site you should really have a restriction on hi-caps. Anyway keep it up guys and hopefully I will travel over for a game sometime :)

Its not possible, with so many new players arriving every week with new guns, we cannot say to them, sorry you cannot play using hi caps. There are some sites that will do so here in the UK, but then they do not have 100+ players every week and some have closed due to a lack of players. Being elite & banning hi caps. usually does not allow sites to make enough money to cover running costs.

Are you using a DSLR to get this kind of footage Scout? We have one but we usually use it just for action pics for our instagram. We recently used it to film some Mini-Op footage, but when we tried to upload it to KZbin it wouldn't upload in HD. Are you using the H264 codec for rendering? Thanks!!

Rendering is done by Apple iMovie, Editing is also done with iMovie. My cameras encode video using the H.264 compressor, and stores the result in a QuickTime Movie wrapper. Most of my video is filmed using bridge cameras. Though some have been done with DSLRs, as I usually have two cameras with me at all times.

There are airsoft sites in the Netherlands, not many because it just became legal at the start of 2014. I guess if you do a few searches via Google, you will find a site or retailer near you. Thanks for the sub :-)

Hey there scout, i am interested in starting with airsoft. I was wondering how much you would spend on a full outfit, gun and clothes, and maybe a starter kit you recommend , and what you would spend on a starter kit. Thank you!

Spend as much as you can afford. German Flecktarn camo is about the cheapest you can get, at least here in Europe, get it via Ebay. Low cost starter rifle, G&G M4 or Cyma AK, remember to get a battery charger and spare mag, some brands already include these as standard such as ICS or Echo1. Many US retailers will do basic starter packs, which are worth looking at. Try to buy from a local retailer, if you can.

Get a gun and goggles first, then camo BDU, then a vest. The gun goggles and the BDU are essential. Get a gun that's affordable and good quality, a good starter gun. I got my BDU for $60, my gun was $200 and my vest was $60.

Bigger distance light color is better choise from every area for human eye, because you try spot the something dark what moves on shadows. But closer combat right colors do the job done!

At 6:09 the sniper's pouch got hit. I know that at my local field a hit on anything on your body (backpack, pouch, etc.) except your gun counts as a death. Are the rules the same here?

Same rules here, but you can clearly see that he never fully realised it was a hit, no one else saw it and neither did I. If players see team mates being hit, they will point it out to them and so will I.

I want to get a better airsoft gun, and I was thinking between the G&G Combat Machine CM16 R8-L, or the G&G Combat Machine Raider. I was thinking these two since the reviews have all been positive and they are fairly inexpensive... Any thoughts?

All the Transform4's that we have were sent direct from ICS in Taiwan. Only FireSupport in the UK have a few left in stock, as far as I know.
