I think it's great to have these battles because of how varied the strength is with vehicles. Usually it's only a 1.0 tier difference. It's really dynamic when you have a mix of powerful tanks being paired with less assuming tanks. I would like to see a mix of 7v7 with TDs, light, med, and heavy with somewhat history related team compositions.

Fun fact: in war thunder, the Tiger II has a very particular weakspot that can be used even by the BT-5. Right below the ammo stowage on the turret ring in the back, there is a 30mm thick plate that has no angle

The T-34 with the 76mm cannon was still more common than the T-34-85 even by the end of the war. It was only post-war that the T-34-85 became the most produced variant.

@@ZETH_27 That's completely incorrect. More 76mm T-34s were made, but by the end of the war a large chunk of them had been lost. The T-34-85 was the standard.

It was mixed with the T-34s still armed with the 76mm gun (although many were later Model.1943 variants with the larger hexagonal - still 2 man - turret). If you could provide me a source that states that the T-34-85 outproduced the T-34 variants with 76mm guns before the end of the war, that would be fantastic.

And T-34 had absurd ammounts of transmission breakdowns, armor spalling, got stuck in the mud (yes it did), shells had a tendency to explode in the barrel if you didn't let it cool down after shots, which limited rate of fire terribly, top speed was physically impossible to achieve because of god awful transmission

You can really see the ridiculous level of Russian bias in this match-up. Russian tanks just seem to survive what should be disabling or killing shots a little too often for it to be a coincidence. Somehow, they just seem to skate by taking hits that nothing else could. It's literally hardwired into the game. Something tells me nothing has changed at all since a few years ago when some folks data mined the game and found all manner of fuckery going on in the Russian tech tree, such as buffed penetration modifiers, buffed fragmentation and explosive mass on shells, and anti-spalling modifiers on the armor. The volumetric system seems tailor made to favor Russians. The Russian tech tree has never before been as dominant as it has been this past year. Right now it's just sickening.
