Airstream Flying Cloud 30FBB (Unbiased RV Review)

This video is a COMPLETELY UNBIASED REVIEW of the 2019 Airstream Flying Cloud 30FBB. Airstreams are iconic, beautiful rigs and we get to take a look at this one from the outside in. We talk about the details we love like the views through the windows, the spaciousness and the floor plan and some of the things we thought could be done a little better like the clips on the dump valves and the cushions in front of the blind latches. Overall we love this rig and share it's many uses.
We think this rig is for families because of the bunk configuration of beds in the back corner and the rather large dinette. Anyone could use it and make it work but we think there would be better floor plans if you don't need the extra sleeping space. Although if you have unique needs like room for pets, cages or you want dedicated office space these bunk models can fills those needs if you think creatively.
This RV is for sure great for an RV Sometimer but could also be used by full timers or snowbirds. It is a rather expensive RV to use sporadically on weekends or for shorter vacations but if an Airstream is what you have always dreamed about then you will love it even if only for shorter periods. It's light and easy to tow and totally fun for families.

I have a ‘17 Flying Cloud Bunk and LOVE it. There is room for my 2 adult daughters and their spouses, as well as room for my 10 year old miracle girl! Of course we aren’t full-timers but my god, we love our airstream. We’ve all spent significant time together and it works ..... storage is so well designed, and we are good! No regrets ....

we also like the Airstreams. But lets be honest. One REALLY has to like them...lol. I mean...the quality is there but at twice the price! with less room! And counter to what some think or say they really dont hold their value that well. But that said. They are very cool. And..They do have a unique look as well as vibe to them. Maybe if money (or storage space) was of no concern we'd consider one. thanks for your review :-)

By that I mean as an RV the depreciation is Still quite high. Anyone thinking they’re a good investment such as investments go are sadly mistaken.

Ahhh yes. You are right about depreciation being significant on any RV they are not an investment. But as far as resale goes the Airstream does seem to hold some value longer and more then most others. Thanks for watching

@@DoesSizeMatter I know what youre saying and I agree. To a point. Say you stumble across a 25 yr old Airstream in someones field. Or just find an old one listed. Youre more likely to make an offer and restore it. There for as an owner you have a market for your trailer that the guy say with a....25 yr old Jayco...would not have. An older Airstream will have a resale value that others do not. We have Harleys so...I get all that. That said. There is still considerable depreciation on Airstreams. Especially the first say 5 yrs or so. Could one say its bad? Maybe. Just not as horrendous as other RVs. But... its still bad. % wise the lose maybe less. But...since they cost sooo much more. The dollar amount lost could be staggering. If...(heaven forbid) one found they have to sell after a few yrs for what ever reason. All Im saying is the laws of depreciation unfortunately still apply to Airstreams and if you're looking at new you'd better be planning on keeping it a veeeeery long time. And...hope nothing comes up that destroys that dream of you and your beautiful Airstream exploring the world together. Your reviews are quite well done. Thanks again. Take care :-)

I think you have hit the nail on the head here and a Harley is a perfect comparison. Kory is always talking about Airstream being the Harley of RVs. I guess it depends on who you are and what you want because both Harley and Airstream seem to have no problem finding buyers right! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hey guys. Lovely looking trailer. At 30', it looks large enough for up to two adults to live in comfortably whilst travelling across the country. Or perhaps two adults and one pre-teen child. :)

The extra guard on the screen door looked like the "pet guard" we use to have. Airstreams are not my cup of tea because I feel like sardines in the can in one.

Believe me we would love to but when we are on a lot we are lucky if a dealership hooks the RV up to power for us, they for sure won't allow us to pull out awnings. Often there is not enough space between RVs either but you can put in a good word for us we'd also like to take them for a drive and see how that goes but we won't hold our breath. haha We do have some other reviews coming up that will show an open awning so stay tuned for those. Oh too bad you must have missed the part where we mentioned that the extra middle arm was for added awning support. We also added it in writing at the bottom of the screen as we confirmed it's actual use.
