Airstrip One

A song started on December 31, 1983 at the now - demolished King's Head in Shoreham, very near where I grew up, and finished in Harlow, my adopted home town through much of the 80s. The Cruise missiles were coming in, and Orwell's prediction of Britain as an 'unsinkable aircraft carrier' for the US was coming true.....
