I'm so deeply trained in Excel and I cannot believe how difficult it is to get my brain to wrap around how friggin cool AirTable is. I see that it's cool, I understand just how much headache this is going to save me with setting up budgets and client tracking systems, but it's kind of like if someone from the 1990's saw today's internet.

Wow, you showed us in 25 minutes what any Airtable expert can show in 3 hours. Excellent. You have a great teaching method.

Thank you for this! I learned DBs in SQL Server and Access and could not wrap my mind around AirTable's simplicity. Now I get it. :)

This is THE tutorial to get started with Airtable! When you open airtable you are now automatically taken to the AI module that might indeed be handy but it does output something rather overwhelming. A bit like trying to get your head around Notion at first 🤯

I am 2 minutes into this, and just paused it. I open restaurants for living. Have trained thousands of employees. This was the best “setting the table” I have seen!!! I am very excited to dig in and learn Airtable. You are VERY VERY good! Ok… back to the video.

Hi, is it possible to create two columns with multiple selection, but do the items in the second column depend on the items selected in the first? Thank you

Been watching your videos to make tracking my store inventory so much easier so thank you! Is it possible to make an 80/20 summary sheet? How would you collect all the repeating suppliers names I’ve ordered from and put them into a table for top 50 most purchases or money spent with for example? When I try array formula, look up or roll up, nothing shows.

Thank you so much for this walk thru. I volunteer for a smaller non-profit and we are using airtable to track our volunteers at this point and would like to use it for other things once we understand it better. I have been fumbling through the system trying to add new volunteers from a spreadsheet and ended up duplicating some records. Then when I deleted them from my personal view it deleted that contact/record from everyones view. Is there a way to upload from google sheets or xcel, but airtable to only upload contacts/information that are not already listed? Also, is there a way to delete or edit a record on a personal view and not effect the other views?
@julian_post8 күн бұрын
I recommend using filters to hide records you don’t want to see in your personal view. No need to actually delete them. With regard to uploading only unique new contacts, yes you can do this using Airtable’s CSV import extension

Thank you for the video. I stopped using Airtable a while back when it was still new, but I want to give it a try again because of your video. Also, I wanted to ask what camera and lighting do you use? - I love the quality of your video; it's so crisp!
@julian_post8 күн бұрын
Let me know what you think on the second go around! The camera is a Sony ZV-e10 with sigma 16mm 1.4 lens. The lighting is primarily a 2’ x 4’ LED light mat right above the computer monitor. Saves a lot of space over traditional soft box

This tutorial is great, I want to make a suggestion for future videos, I would like you to make a video about how we can optimize our bases in relation to our purchased plans and get the most out of Airtable pricing. We know that lately the CEO of Airtable has mainly focused on large companies with large resources, so a video on this topic would help us entrepreneurs basically not to bury or leave this tool forgotten.
