@@Nope-ju4cg The problem is availability of the fiber connection. For majority of the places it is either your society will have Airtel or Jio. So, not much choice there. Also, there isn't much difference in tarrif of Jio vs Airtel. Jio's 399 plan offers 30 Mbps and airtel's 499 plan offers 40 Mbps which essentially means Airtel is offering 10 Mbps speed more than Jio @ 100 Rs. Only benefit in case of Jio is with 100 Mbps plan which costs 699 @Jio vs 799 @ Airtel. Also, don't forget 999 plan at airtel provides 200 Mbps connection and Jio just provides 150 Mbps connection. Rest all are exactly the same. So, what are you talking about when you said Jio is cheaper.

That's Rs .120 extra for absolutely No benefit to the average man who just wants to stream live tv and do some office work. Even Most streaming services recommend just 5 to 10mbps connection is sufficient for Full HD stable streams. I am not someone who needs anything more than 15 mbps,so is most other household. Well,if some house has many "Gamer"(unemployed) individuals,they will need 100 and 200 mbps,Good for them. Airtel is smart enough to keep 499 as it racks in an extra minimum revenue frm each customer compared to Jio. Jio fiber Revolutionized Fiber Broadband industry and now everyone is giving cheaper plans to counter Jio ...But KING IS KING!! JIO RULES!!

@@Nope-ju4cg Everyone is the best person to judge for their needs. In my society I don't have Jio Fiber connection and only have Airtel and recently Tata Sky Fiber has put their lines. So, I don't even have option to opt for Jio. That was my first point. Not every society (even in major cities) will have all the fiber options available. Lastly, don't generalize and assume only unemployed or gamers would need speed over 15Mbps. I am an IT professional and we don't use DTH/cable for our entertainment needs. We rely on streaming services. I have Netflix, Prime Hotstar, Sony Liv. Also, I have 4k TVs @ home. So 30/40 Mbps will not suffice considering I have laptops, phones, smart home appliances. I have a 200 Mbps connection which works well for me. Just because you don't have a requirement don't assume. Again, if 30 Mbps is good enough for you, I am not arguing. You are the best judge for what suites you. Peace out.

Iam also from patna. I took 100mbos connection 1month back l. From very 1st day I was having frequent Internet drop issue'. Also as u mentioned the ping used to be very high. After so many complaints they fixed my internet drop problem approx after 1 month. Now they also established proper server in patna which eventually improves the ping. Now-a-days u must be getting 2ms-3ms ping on patna server. Also airtel is providing me extension on current plan. The total extension days are equal to the no. Of days my complaints were open which is almost equal 2-3 weeks.

Actually when you are playing all devices in 4k resolution....there is no 4k resolution phone available right now ...so it will be play in 1080p ...it will show you only that it is playing in 4k but it will not..

If you take 1gbps speed also it will not download it at 1gbps or 900 mbps . The speed test software shows the speed in mpbs so whatever speed it shows it should be divided with 8 then the result comes is the actual download and upload speed in realtime. And the speed the windows taskmanger shows is fake it always shows fake speed

The Main problem is with Airtelfiber is that they have more downtime I don't know in other cities but in my city the inconvenience occur every 3rd day and they took 4 to 5 hrs to resolve and unfortunately jiofiber is not available in my area am using currently Railwire 799plan 100mbps which is lot better becz it has never go down 24/7 all day running smoothly with constant speed.
