How long should this take a seasoned mechanic? Glad I found this because I was getting quotes from 2.7 - 4 Hours from local shops talking about removing drive trains and dropping tanks ect.... and I don't want to get ripped off (even if they are only going by book time - thats not MY book lol)

I don't know what 2005 freestyle van he's working on because I have the same exact van and guess what there is no access panel inside this van to get to the fuel pump without dropping the tank lot of help you did bud thanks no thanks

The Freestyle is a wagon. The van is a Freestar.

Do you have to bleed the pressure in order to install the fuel pump?

Yes, otherwise you get a burst of pressurized fuel spraying at you when you remove the lines. You don't have to use a gauge with a relief like they used. You can just remove the relay and try starting the car. That will remove pressure.

Replaced fuel filter in 07 Five hundred because car was performing sluggish and smelled like gas. Then it failed to start at all. Crank no start. Then replaced fuel pump. Same crank no start. It used to run (poorly) but still started... I have no idea what's going on now

I have a 2006 Freestyle. I *cannot* get the locking ring to move. I'm using a hammer and punch like in the video. I have hit it *hard*, and nothing moves. Any suggestions?

I had to use a punch or something kike a punch then hammer it counter clockwise amd moving the tools position on each notch each hit and kept making a circle hitting around in each spot rather than just the same spot
