God No that's not what I did. I cut and made a removable panel right above the fuel pump didn't have to do all of that. took 5min had access to the pump. Then if something was wrong with the pump or went wrong again it was a matter of a minute to get access to the pump

I've been a diesel technician for over 21 years and I have not ever seen such bologna in my life. You're not reaching your hand anywhere significant inside that tank. 🧐

I did all that and now when I fuel up. Fuel leaks out from top of pump somewhere and into the pump compartment. Already replaced o rings and locking ring 2xs

Wow absolutely thank you for this great video. I've been having an issue with lean condition and I have checked the fuel pressure and still within manufacturers specs but I didn't know that you are losing unnoticeable fuels along the way with just a volt of voltage drop. I did tons of troubleshootings such us intake and exhause smoke test, exhaust leaks, even checked the cat converter. It almost made me crazy but after seeing this video, it reminded me that I have 13.5v+/- only at the fuel pump socket while I have 14v+ during coldstart. Really appreciate you making this kind of video. Didn't know a small voltage drop can affect so much of the combustion and fuel efficiency. Thank you!

P0456 after Monroe did this fuel pump replacement. They said it wasn't from them. Had no codes before they swapped out the fuel pump

Monroe tried charging us 1,200$ for this 4 hr job. They had it done in 1 hr. Then they tried to lie when everyone in the waiting room rebelled against these liars that all saw it get done in an hr. That Monroe said they had to charge us for a 4 hr job because that's what the book labor was. 5 people in the waiting room had our backs and we got the price chopped down to 600$ don't get scammed! 400$ fuel pump and actually 200$ labour

I'll I can say is What A Hassle. Try doing this on a concrete floor with the van raised up on jack stands. Not nearly as easy. What a sucky repair job.

Does this fuel pump have the fuel selector valve in it as well?? I have a 91 F250 the front tank is pushing all the gas to the back tank and overflowing it. It is really hard to find the right one for that because it’s a split.

Shoulda bought the whole assembly instead of trying to just replace the filter, jesus smh..
