Always fun to see how you rank coasters as I feel like we often have a similar view. Skyrush is probably where we differ the most. I used to dislike it early on after it was built. In recent years though it hasn't bothered me and has become one of my favorite coasters period. Anyhow, here is how I rank Hersheypark, which I consider my home park. Although I'm from Baltimore, Hershey was the closest major park to me when I was young. Six Flags/Adventure World/Wild World came a few years later. 1. Skyrush 2. Wildcat's Revenge 3. Storm Runner 4. Fahrenheit 5. Great Bear 6. Candymonium 7. Comet 8. Lightning Racer 9. Wildcat 10. Sooperdooperlooper 11. Jolly Rancher Remix 12. Laff Trakk 13. Trailblazer 14. Wild Mouse 15. Cocoa Cruiser 16. Roller Soaker And yes, Roller Soaker dead last. It's actually dead last of my 410 plus credits. It was awful and literally dumb.

If you get the chance, try it! It’s about 2-3 hours from major cities and airports(about 2 hrs from DC or B’more, 2 hrs from Philly, 3 or so hours from North Jersey/ NYC)….i would say hard to get to would be something like SDC, which is 4-5 hours from any major airport! Seriously though, check it out if you’re able to…HP doesn’t disappoint.

@@terrancepounds1090 Agreed. I just went from Northern Jersey with my wife and kids. The ride home was about 2 hours and 45 minutes. Between the coasters, shops, all the other rides, Chocolate World, Chocolate Town, the sea lion show, and the attached zoo, Hershey is a must-visit. We were there 3 days and stayed at Hershey Lodge, which has its own set of amenities including an indoor water park (not amusement park sized but still cool). And if you are interested in stuff aside from Hershey Park, we did the High Point mansion tour (where the Hersheys lived), The Hershey Story museum and Hershey Gardens (which has a butterfly atrium) - so there is a ton to do.

@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od The last time I rode Fahrenheit, it made me a bit nauseous. Now most coasters don't make me feel sick afterwards. I find it to be a bit forceless as I am spoiled by Skyrush and Stormrunner which I can ride easily. Plus Fahrenheit usually has a long line. I like the boomerang for the intensity of the loop taken backwards, and Looper for the vintage charm, the loop, and a helix near the end of the ride.

This park has a special place in my heart as it is home to the first ever looping coaster I rode the super dooper looper that loop pulls insane forces and ranks number 1 in my first trying amusement park things. It is also home to one of my favorite woodies, the comet.

Comet was one of my new credits this past weekend. Rode it with my daughter. Really an excellent coaster! Maybe my mind was playing tricks on me, but it felt like it had 3 drops and something like 9 bunny hills. Non-stop action.

My daughter and I were able to go to Hershey this past summer. Your rankings are almost dead-on with mine! We ended the night with 3 straight rides on Wildcat's Revenge and had SO much fun! I love a good B&M Hyper and Candymonium filled that slot nicely (although Diamondback is better). We had a blast on both Stormrunner and Fahrenheit, riding each multiple times. Great Bear really surprised me how fun and unique it was. And Skyrush...well, it was intense. The restraints really hurt it. Overall, such a solid lineup at Hershey.

Perhaps a hot take, but I've never paid attention to the airtime on skyrush, only the lats. I still believe they're the main focus of the figure eight twister layout. They feel varied and borderline dangerous when your hands are up. It's one of the only coasters out there with unlimited upper body movement. The amount of lateral combinations in comparison to other coasters is the main reason why I think it's far from overrated.

The only element I really notice the lats on are the twisted airtime hill, one of my favorite elements. I did like getting flopped around in the back though, that was totally lost in the front

​@@AirtimeThrills Seems like everyone feels the lats differently. I'm a skinny dude so I get flopped in every which way during the elements. The s-curve before the twisted hill kills me. The forces are strong enough to yank me perpendicular to the seatback for 3 seconds.

I wish I could feel something, anything on this ride. I love the view, I enjoy the drop, but nothing else. I'm short, so the restraints don't hurt me, but maybe I'm too fat to enjoy it.

@@Zepp914 I just rode Skyrush for the first time (with the new restraints) and I felt the same way. I'm 5'8" 185Lb. It was very fun, but I went into it feeling a bit intimidated (due to its intense reputation), and while actually riding it, nothing about it intimidated me. The drop was great but no better than other great drops I've been on (and I only have 49 credits). I'm pretty sure I felt stronger forces on Fahrenheit.

I honestly found Hershey Park was a bit disappointing. Mostly because of how hyped it's lineup was. It's not a Cedar Point killer, or even Kings Island killer. It's flaw is it seems JUST check boxes with its lineup. Fill a needed niche, but with the minimum required. Their coasters tend to be on the short side, and middle of the pack for their model. Candymonium is a mid hyper, Lightning Racer is a mid GCI, Comet is a mid classic woodie, Great Bear is a below mid invert, Looper is a mid etc, etc. And their previous unique stand out, Skyrush, is unique and forceful, but terribly flawed. Wildcat's revenge though at least bucks the trend a bit. While not a top 5 RMC is definitely above a mid RMC. And the ops are the best of any RMC.

I’ve been going to Hersheypark ever since my parents took to Candylane when I was only a year old. I am now in college and have gone to Hersheypark every year of my life. So I feel I have at least have decent opinions on these coasters lol. First the ones defunct. Roller Soaker honestly was nothing spectacular. It was fun but it definitely was more about the battle then the actual coaster part. I only ever did it once or twice I preferred the more thrilling rides even as a kid. Wildcat holds such a special place in my heart. I used to ride it all the time growing up. And I definitely think the roughness was tolerable for many years. But my god since covid hit wildcat became pretty awful. The roughness causes the coaster to slow down as well since it shakes around so much. It had a fun layout and I have great memories of it but I was begging for Hershey to RMC it. Now for my rankings- I definitely have different opinions on these rides then you do lol. Im a die hard skyrush fan and I can’t apologize for that. Also lighting racer is also a great time I’ve always had a blast on it and love it to death. 14. Cocoa Cruiser 13. Trailblazer 12. Hersheypark was my favorite park in the days before I would ride coasters at all, in part because they had so many big tame family rides--more than they do today. Eventually my mother cajoled me onto Trailblazer, and for many years, it was the only coaster I'd ever ridden. There's not much to it, but at the time, I found it almost overwhelming. I went back there in 2011 with my little daughter in tow, and aside from introducing her and my wife to Trailblazer (my kid liked it way more than I had), I had the kid with me for most of the day and the only coasters I got to ride were Fahrenheit and sooperdooperLooper. I loved both of those. Fahrenheit's queue was brutal though. We rode Tiny Timbers, the little kiddie flume where Cocoa Cruiser is now. Going back there for another go is, I think, my single biggest bucket-list park visit at the moment, of all the parks in the world. I can't convince my family to be interested so it'd probably be solo.

I have a similar situation. My kids are young and do love the coasters for which they qualify, but my wife almost never rides. However, as long as I ride when and for how long she tells me, I can get my credits while she rides the kids on kid rides. LOL. Also, not for nothing, I kind of prefer being alone and being able to get away from the stresses of the world for a minute or so on Stormrunner or Wildcat's Revenge. 😀

I’m hoping to get to this park this year. I was originally gonna do a week long road trip to hit all of the major parks in the northeast this year but that had to be pushed back a year because I told my friends I’d go to a tournament in Florida this year. Oh well at least I’ll be able to ride Iron Gwazi, Mako, Aire Force one and all of the elite coasters Florida and Georgia have this year. Next year I’ll cross Toro off of the bucket list.

Comet was my first ever true coaster. My family went to Hershey in 2004 and I was 5 or 6. I went on it with my Grandpa. I still remember that to this day.

I had a similar moment with my 7-year old daughter. We rode it 2 days ago. She said it was "a little much", but she was still smiling all the way through and feels like she accomplished a challenge, which can be good confidence boosters for kids (if they meet the height requirement OF COURSE). 5:10 I've been on 8 Vekoma boomerangs in North America and Jolly Rancher REMIX is by far my favorite (even including Sea Serpent at Moreys Piers). The lights, the station music, the tunnel, the candy smoke smell, REALLY enhances the experience big time.

I grew up about three hours from Hershey. Back in the late 70s/early 80s, I think Darien Lake, Dorney Park, and Hersheypark were all pretty comparable (all better than Rocky Glen which has been closed for decades now). Right around the early 80s, Hershey made a big effort to invest heavily in the park - I think now it’s significantly better than Dorney and Darien Lake but there’s still some signs of its “small, local park” heritage left. Somehow I never went to Knobels until about a decade ago, I think that’s another park which is substantially bigger and better from when I was a kid though.

I've only been to hershey Park once back in 2008 my senior year with the new brighton marching band and my favorite roller coaster is storm runner and I'm thinking of going back this month with my family and my aunt and my cousins.

I've only been to Hersheypark once and that was back in 2005 when Storm Runner was still new. During that trip, I did get to ride Wildcat and Roller Soaker. Wildcat did have a nice layout and was fun but not nearly as much fun as Lightning Racers (rode 4 times, twice on each side) and Comet (rode 3 times). Roller Soaker was very easy going and a nice coaster to cool off on on a hot day.

I finally got to ride (most) of these yesterday and today! Disappointed that Comet no longer had buzz bars, but LOVED the new restraints on Skyrush!! After two days of riding, my top 3 would be: 3: Candymonium (b/c you absolutely can't go wrong with a B&M hyper - ever) 2: Skyrush (like a smaller I-305) 3: Wildcat's Revenge (which I thought was great from start to finish) You need to update this list after riding Skyrush with the new restraints.

I will never get tired of riding all their coasters cause I love every single one but my favorite will always be Storm Runner even though its short but that ride packs a wallop. I feel like some elements like the quarry drop on iron rattler elevate a coaster like that. It would be interesting to see where each element stacks up pound for pound against others.

Halloween 2021 was the first time I got into riding roller coasters there and that was the perfect time to ride all of them with shorter lines. I just rode most of the coasters this past weekend so here's my ranking: 11. Laff Track: I was convinced to try it once this past weekend and really disliked the spinning. At least it was in the dark but still something I don't want to experience again. 10. Fahrenheit: Only rode it once. Ride was pretty rough. But it had plenty of action. Shame. 09. Wild Mouse: I've rode the Dorney one a couple times and it is the exact same. Fun little thriller but not as good as I used to like it. 08. Stormrunner: I can't imagine waiting in the Summer heat for an hour or 2 for this. It was an awesome ride, but it was really short and I didn't like the restraints. 07. Superdooperlooper: My first inverted coaster. It was fun, but hard to match to the ones further up this list. 06. Comet: Legendary ride. Just didn't like the quick stop waiting in queue before the train rolled back into the station 05. Lighting Racer: Had fun every time I went on Lightning. But I can see why it's not getting as much ridership. 04. Wildcat's Revenge: Really love most of the improvements. However, of all the coasters in the park, the noise of entering the chain is by far the loudest. Also didn't like those bumps it made going up halfway. Rode it 3 times in an afternoon with the middle, back and front. Front was the roughest at least for me. Still a great ride. 03. Great Bear: Lots of fun and it was worth the payoff 02. SkyRush: This was the first roller coaster I rode in 2021, and the first experience of the park since '03. Really loved it and have gone on it at least twice everytime I come back. But I can see the mixed feelings. 01. Candymonium: Always rode this at sunset. I love this ride; the height, majestic drops, scenery and incredibly smooth ride. Rode it 3 times in 10 minutes. Not very intense, but always a joy. I want to ride Trailblazer next time. It may not be too exciting but it looks fun and is seen as an intro into coaster enjoyment. I don't have much interest in riding Jolly Rancher Remix. Just afraid of getting a whiplash. So in a way, there's still some coaster I'm too afraid of lol

I had only ridden Candymonium during my last trip a couple years ago (which I loved), but we just returned yesterday from a weekend at Hersheypark and I added 7 credits. After all the intensity talk I've heard, I thought I'd be a coward if I didn't ride Skyrush and have seen it be #1 or #2 on many lists. However, nothing about it seemed overly intense to me, and I tend to agree with the position where you have it on this list. Wildcat's Revenge is definitely the best coaster in the park, and both Stormrunner and Candymonium are better than Skyrush. I guess the anticipation causes more nervousness sometimes than the forces on the coaster will actually affect me, or maybe my body is getting used to them after I became active on coasters again in the last 2-3 years (in my mid to late 40s). Maybe I'll try I305 next time I'm at King's Dominion instead of chickening out like I did last time. LOL

Pretty good rankings. I have only been to Hersheypark twice. My first came in 2001, and surprisingly Wildcat was my favorite then. It wasn't rough one bit and offered some solid forces. My other visit was last year, and Wildcat's Revenge was easily my favorite. The one coaster I wasn't a huge fan of though was Candymonium, which I would put at number 7. I know it sounds crazy, but I was more impressed with Sooper Dooper Looper than Candymonium.

1. Stormrunner - pretty much perfect 2. Lightning Racer - great feeling of speed, but it needs the racing to be really good 3. Candymonium - amazing airtime 4. Sooperdooperlooper - like a mountain coaster, calm and always fun 5. Wildcat's Revenge - good elements and unique 6. Skyrush - a little crazy. Sometimes that's good, sometimes not. 7. Wildmouse - always fun, not much to it, though 8. Comet - great for kids, ok for adults 9. Trailblazer - cute and fun 10. Great Bear - a little sickening, but very cool first half 11. Laff Trak - neat backwards but sickening 12. Jolly Rancher - headbashing and painful, but I haven't ridden it in years. Maybe better now. 13. Fahrenheit - very intense and nauseating, but the lift and first drop are cool 14. Cocoa Cruiser - No one over age 10 should ride this. Honorable Mention: Roller Soaker would be #10.5 on my list. It was fun to get wet, and an interesting feeling riding it. It would fit right into the water section now. It was ahead of its time.

Love Sooper’s blue & orange retro paint job. Fahrenheit didn’t do as well this time. The small footprint makes it a real spinner-barfer with so many tight loops and turns. Lightning Racer is getting rough! Much moreso than Comet.

I went to this park in May 2021 and was surprised at how busy it was. I only ended up getting half of the credits, and of these I also have Skyrush at 6. It really made me appreciate Superman more as far as Intamin Hypers go.

I just went to Hershey today. I was not able to hit every coaster, but Sky Rush was hands-down my favorite. I love that drop. Fahrenheit was one of my least favorites. It almost made me sick from all the twists.

Man after the great season I had at Hershey in 2023, being a SFMM local and having a few months on the east coast for work in the spring/summer, Hershey was my top target and boy did it deliver. Skyrush blew me away and took my #3 spot and most ridden coaster of the year with 57 laps in 6 visits. How can anyone put Pretty Good Bear above Skyrush?! PGB ended up being my least favorite B&M invert of them all (only missing Patriot and one Bat clone in the US). It’s wild how different opinions can be of the same rides. I’ll hand it to Wildcats Revenge, that ended up being #14 for me and 4th RMC behind IG, TwiCol and Steve. I definitely need to get back to Hershey asap for more laps, this park has possibly the most fun and complete coaster collection in the states!

As someone who goes to Hershey every year I think your rankings are fairly accurate except I would put skyrush at 2 behind Wildcats revenge. I also rode roller soaker before it closed and it was pretty boring. The water stuff was neat but the layout was so boring there was nothing else to enjoy so unless it was hot out I always skipped it. To me it would be at the very bottom of the rankings. Skyrush is definitely my number one at the park. Its actually my number one in the world. I like Storm Runner a lot more than you do, but aside from those (admittedly huge) points, we agree for the most part

I mostly agree with your list but I would have storm runner and sky rush at 3 and 4. Storm Runner's launch has so much intensity and I love the snake dive. Sky Rush's restraints never bothered me that much and that first drop is amazing, but it has a lot of rattle in the back that takes away from the ride. But Wildcat's Revenge definitely takes the #1. RMC worked their magic!

I will never get the massive hate for the Skyrush restraints. Especially with Wildcat's Revenge, which has the worst restraints of any RMC (not only is it cramped like all the others, but the enormous plastic seatbelt buckle made the second half incredibly painful) being in the same park. Yes Skyrush feels like it's trying to rip you in half, but you'd get that with any restraint on that insane freak of a coaster.

I rode a traveling Chance Toboggan on the French Fair circuit in 2022 and wasn't as bad as I heard of the one at Little Amerika-and I'm like 6ft. If Hershey's pair ran comparable to that, I would put it above Wild Mouse on this list

Candymonium is my 2nd favorite B&M hyper, but it only makes it to # 5 at Hershey on my list, behind the 3 Intamins & Lightning Racer. It'll drop to # 6 whenever I get on Wildcats Revenge. That's just a testament to how much I love their lineup. For me, Great Bear is then behind the defunct Wildcat. Over my 20 rides on Wildcat, it gave slightly above average airtime, and was smoother than Voyage. I may have caught it on good days.

Wildcat's Revenge is good, but I wouldn't say great. I put it at #5 on my list. I don't understand this RMC hype; people have been talking about them for years, and I finally get to ride one thinking that it will be some mind-blowingly amazing ride, and it was just good.

@@casedinlight I still haven't ridden Wildcats Revenge, but honestly, it doesn't seem as good as their other hybrids. I'm still excited to ride it, but I will temper my expectations. It sounds like it doesn't focus as much on airtime as other RMCs, even though it still has some. The strong and relentless airtime are more present on other RMCs. I think some people are loving Wildcats Revenge so much because it's so different from other RMCs, and they've ridden many of the others. Maybe one of the others will impress you more. I do understand the feeling when something gets overhyped so much, then you ride it, and you say "That's it?" That happened to me with Fury 325. The coaster community is extremely guilty of overhyping rides far too often, so we need to guard ourselves when it comes to ones we haven't ridden yet.

I've never been to HersheyPark, so I don't know what Lightning Racers is like or what Wildcat was like. I saw an interview where GCI stated they were a bit disappointed to not get picked to renovate their first coaster. Do you think it would have been better to have GCI put Titan Track on Wildcat and then have RMC do an I-Box conversion of Lightning Racers?

Candymonium is one of the best B&M Hypers and Wildcats Revenge was a blast I have no real complaints with Wildcats Revenge. Candymonium is 9.5 I don’t like the trim on the last hill but Candymonium is a long ride but short for a hyper

I feel like Fahrenheit and Wildcat's Revenge are the best coasters there. Stormrunner is too short, but it is really cool for what it is. I agree that Skyrush is mostly filler and I'm not a fan. I actually prefer Apollo's Chariot at BGW and Super Man at Six Flags America to Candymonium, but maybe I'm crazy. Comet is my 3rd favorite coaster there, but fully acknowledge that nostalgia is clouding my judgment. I probably won't ever ride it with the new trains.

While they do have a good line-up, I am not a fan of Hersheypark. Been there twice, once last year (it probably was a mistake to go there on Memorial Day weekend, not just for being a few days too early to ride Wildcat's Revenge), and once in 2008 or 2009. My first big issue with the park is the direction finding. The signs are pretty useless if you are looking for a specific ride and don't know what section of the park the ride is in, and the big maps are made in a way that you don't even know which direction you are facing when looking at them. I never got lost that much anywhere else. The second is staying hydrated. There are drink outlets all over the place, but most of them only seem to be usable if you have an unlimited drink package/cup/wristband whatever. You can't just go there, swipe your credit card and buy a cup of coke. Or at least that's what I understood from the employee trying to explain how it works. English may not be my first language, but I think I do speak it well enough to communicate. But no matter where I went, it seems like the people behind the counter hardly spoke any English, when their job was to sell drinks. My opinions on some if their coasters: - Candymonium is a really nice smooth B&M - but the queue area must have been stolen at a Six Flags park. This is just so uninspired. - The Boomerang, in its current incarnation, is surely just a Boomerang, but at least from all the ones I have ridden, this certainly takes the top spot in this category.. The trains and their restraints are exactly what you need on something that uses Vekoma's MK-1200 track. - Sooperdooperlooper.. what were they smoking when they came up with the design of the trains? That orange plastic look gives it more of a toy appearance than the one of a serious classic Schwarzkopf looper. - Laff Track - I have ridden many of the Maurer SC-2000s. At one point we even had three of them traveling the German fairs. And I have ridden custom ones like the Winjas at Phantasialand But I have never had one where they apparently adjusted the sensors in the restraints to be THAT restrictive. I am tall, but I never had to skip a coaster because of being too heavy (except for really small stuff like Go-Gators that is). But on Laff Track, both my buddy and I needed significant pushing from the ride operators to get our restraints to give the all clear. And then there was hardly any spinning action, despite us being the only two riders in that car and seated on the same side. Big disappointment after waiting WAY too long.

Some do. Vekoma has quite a few of these, but I think you need the tiny ones for the really small kids. Coasters like Woodstock Express at CP are pretty legit but not for 3 year olds

I am suprised lightning racer was called smooth. When I rode it with friends, they said it is one of the shakier rides, and boy were they right. Still an acceptable track, but I would not want to ride it.

Lightning Racer is my favorite coaster there. It's the only one that I ride every time.
