judging from what i saw in this episode and few episodes before, hedin is particullary on bell's side with his actions on how he manipulate the whole familia like for example, to let allen not guarding mia, then tell the guards to not look out for bell when hes out, then he said that he will watchout for bell, but in fact we clearly didn't see him anywhere lol, so hes giving him chances to find out the truth. In addition on their last fight in the end of the episode, Hedin smiled when he hear bell's answer. I think the reason hedin on bell's side is not trying to help bell, but maybe he saw for himself that freya is like losing herself as a goddess, all he wants is to help freya go the right path as a goddess of love even though he had to betray her command. Just my personal opinion :D

Its Bell and Ais love story after all, and even if the scene wasnt as great as in the book, it was hearthwarming to watch

Obviously, It’s Hestia because her power it’s far beyond than Freya’s what we learn Hestia is the Goddess of Hearth who can use her powers to give bond of family and emotional support to Bell that everyone need to be able to remember!

Thats usually how it is but this is especially true for Danmachi. The anime adaptation can never fully capture the quality of the novel.

Seems Anime is incapable of ever capturing a LN. It's just not possible as a LN truly allows you to imagine everything by giving every detail
