Freya broke way before Bell. She has taken half Orario and cannot cope with one rejection. Also i have to admire the chad Hermes for his ingeniouty. Hearth means fireplace and that is the greek meaning of Hestia the goddess of family. (Family gathered around the fireplace).

Just a thought but I truly feel like the problem with the Author adding so many likable girls in this series was fixed in Wistoria: Wand and Sword series by introducing a Childhood friend for the MC who is basically a mix of all the best girls in Danmachi in one Girl!

They cut out a VEEEEEEERRRRRYYYY important piece of information. This is not a spoiler as it takes place during Hermes' monologue During his monologue Hermes remarks that his job takes him all over the world and how he rarely stays in one place for very long, despite this he has stayed in Orario for 4 months, why? Was it because of something? Or someone? The biggest clue for why he thinks this is because he received a letter. It has no name or return address and all it says is "Stiiiillll no updates?" Hermes has been in contact with a certain great god ⚡ ⚡ ⚡ all this time, pretty regularly too, even going to visit this God in person sometimes. No one else is aware of this connection tho. I think they did it good both in LN and anime. You have to accept some changes will be made in an adaptation, and they still mafe it believable in anime. Although I personally think LN is better. Still a fire episode.

Hype episode, can't wait for the next reaction! Some other random LN context, not really spoilers: The anime in its entirety has been leaving out important Ais content for years; even in S4, a major part of what kept Bell going in the deep floors was his love/admiration for Ais, which helped him hold onto to hope and not give in to despair. Additionally, in Sword Oratoria Ais has just quite a few Bell simping/inspiration moments like Bell has for her, so the feelings are not one-way. So, that scene with Ais is a bit more heartfelt than you'd expect Also, with Hermes, part of what made him realize something was wrong was his correspondence with Zeus. Remember in S1 how it was revealed that Zeus was Bell's "Grandpa"? This is a detail that was left out in this episode for some reason, basically Zeus is still around.

On a little side note: the scene between Ais and Bell was really emotional, but when Ais was telling Bell about her memories with this “someone”, she looked almost (or she was made look like she was) “unfazed”, indifferent, like: “Now that you mention that… I think I remember something like that, sort of…” But from that scene (the way the anime depicted it) I couldn’t feel any sort of “internal struggle” or the suffering I imagine she must have been going through… Guess they messed it up a bit, I feel like they could have made Ais just a little more “expressive”, instead, even in a tense and critical situation like that, they depicted her with her usual “monotone expression”… a bit of a shame… then it must be no surprise if many anime watchers only (like myself and other people I know) find it quite difficult to “bond” with Ais, if even this (that from what I understood was supposed to be her “Main scene” in season 5) was screwed up like this…

@Knight4869-l9y The most expressive JC Staff ever went with Ais was her pouting in her bed and acting childishly, and that was in Sword Oratoria. The problem is they take the kuudere personality up to 11 in most of their adaptation, when she's FAR, FAR more than that. Hopefully they eventually animate more of Sword Oratoria so they're forced to show off Ais' emotions.

The scene between Ais and Bell was very nice and heartwarming: it gave him motivation to keep going forward and not giving up in a moment of absolute despair (btw, it hurt so much to see Tiona, who respects and admires him so much, treat him with so much indifference and suspicion 😭💔) However that scene wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for Mia, who made Bell realize that his memories weren’t fake and instead it was the world around him that was distorted, pushing him to go look for Ais, so thanks a lot, Mama Mia😉👍🏻 (Who I realized was a member of the Freya Familia just in the last episode, when her and Anya both retained their memories… I knew that she had some ties with them, but I wouldn’t have guessed she was an actual member…😧) By now I think that’s pretty obvious that Hogni has a “crush” on Bell…😂❤️ And probably Hedin too, but he looks more of a “tsundere type”😂😂😂 Look at you Hermes… Nice one you crafty little b*stard😂 (in a good way) He realized that if he tried to retain for himself all of the informations, he would have inevitably attracted some suspicion by whoever was behind this (Freya) so he divided these informations between his children (and Hestia) and was ready to put them together when the time came… I adored his “declaration” to Asfi 😂😂😍❤️ In the meantime it looks like Freya isn’t so sure about what she’s doing anymore, or is it just my impression???🤔 P.S. But let’s not forget THE MOST IMPORTANT THING about all this… RYUUUUU!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU, MY BELOVED??? I MISS YOU SO SO MUCH!!! 😭😭😭💔💔💔 Are those b*stards treating you well!? Did they hurt you? Bell is breaking Freya into pieces, and it's her own d*mn fault for not having anything to give him that he didn't already have. Hermes is that god who knows humility gets a message understood better than just showing pride. Hell, he got Hestia to be patient even though patience is the last thing people would associate with her character.

Man the anime I feel kinda does Ais dirty at times just watching Sword Oratoria she's literally our series Arwen an amazing character from a very special lineage I wish they'd continue it from what I heard that story might go harder than the main series which is understandable their starting points for familias when we join them are so different but obviously LN is always best experience theirs just so many liberties you can do in writing that just can't be truly adapted but I still appear what the anime has done

Honestly, I was team Freya and I'm not ashamed at all it's what my slave instincts told me was the right decision 😅 but Lee also convinced me that Hestia or Ais are the way because they will love you no matter what and Freya seems to be a temporary thing. In my case, I would still enjoy my time with Freya but then I would return home. 🙏

Yknow while being super late I think it might actually be worthwhile for you guys to react to Sword Oratoria it actually has some massive lore drops for the world of Danmachi and considering how mu,h they cut of Ais stuff from the min series is probably your best shot at understanding her for me she's basically an Arwen or even Luthien like she literally has a charisma buff that's never really discussed elves are considered to be like perfect and yet she can somehow overshadow them

Way I saw it, Hedin just doesn't want Freya to keep hurting herself and in a true act of loyalty he goes against what she asked him to do, that's why he questions his loyalty after seeing horn in pain when she was feeling what Freya was feeling. Also Freya will always be number 1, without her fireball spell Bell would still be out here fighting goblins

She might not have the ample proportions of Freya and Hestia (though she isn't lacking in the back if ya'know what I'm saying), but she is the most interesting and fun of the goddesses shown.
