So, WE ALL hate him because we have ALL died to that little fucker while just narrowly escaping for our lives after a fight, just to accidentally run into a mushroom & slowly tick and die away because his mushrooms in the game deal Poison damage over time & that DoT effect lasts for about I think 4 or 5 seconds.

All song names/band names are things in the video game: True Damage is a type of damage that ignores defensive stats like Armor and Magic Resist. K/DA stands for Kills, Deaths and Assists. Pentakill is when a single character/player scores the kills on all 5 enemy players in a somewhat short period of time and Pentakill's song which is named Guardian is a perk you select to bring into the game(these perks are called runes), that shields allies when you are close to them and they take big damage. Heartsteel is an in-game item that makes you do more damage as well as having a larger health pool. I assume someone has already told you but I skimmed some comments and didn't see it so I will comment on it.

In As We Fall, Varus wasn't really being greedy. For what I remember, he "respected" his contract. He saved the dying one's soul... by putting it with his own inside the living one. It's a bit of a trope of when making a wish, be precise, or be careful what you wish for. Oh, also, please in french isn't easy, but is not that hard, it's "s'il vous plait" (literally "if it pleases you") and would be pronounce like "seel voo ple" (the last vowel sound is the same as the beginning of "epic") And if you like pentakill-style metal, you would like heavy-metal, probably something like Iron Maiden/Metallica. Power Metal (the obvious band here being Dragon Force, but there're many more) would probably be your jam too, those are some more "musical" types of metal (you can add to the list Symphonic Metal, with bands like Nightwish if you don't like growl/screams) :)

The Rise music video tells the story of Ambition, a Korean player who won Worlds 2017 on Korean team Samsung Galaxy. It shows Ambition's 'rise' through the tournament, defeating some key players on the way - Perkz from European team G2 Esports, Uzi from Chinese team RNG and finally Faker from Korean team SKT T1. Faker, the all time GOAT of League was somewhat of a rival of Ambition - Faker's very first pro-play kill as a rookie back in 2013 was on Ambition, and Faker/SKT had actually defeated Ambition/Samsung the previous year in the finals of Worlds 2016. So Ambition finally overcoming the 'final boss Faker', who was a 3 time Worlds champ by then, was a pretty big moment.

There's a world champion who started playing professionally because his favorite champion didn't have any good skins(at the time) and when he complained in a forum about it, someone told him to just win worlds to make his own skin(Riot makes a skin for every world champion as part of the prize, your team gets revenue share and everything). The guy was obviously being sarcastic, but the dude took it to heart and again became a world champion in 2022.

Varus is such a cool charachter. He even has his own digital comic book. First of all Varus is a darkin. He was in prison in that black sea. Those 2 guys in this cinematic are Valmar and Kai. As you can see they're lovers but when Kai is injured, Valmar took him there to heal him. But Varus possessed them and merged their bodies and minds. But they're not fully dead Varus is still hearing their voices in his head. Varus seeks revenge for what humans have done to him and his species but Valmar and Kai always trying to stop him by whispering him. Their voices reminds Varus of his humanity. That's why Varus is more emotional and human than other Darkins. His voice lines are so good. I highly recommend you to check it out.

If you liked Pentakill you might want to take a look at the Pentakill 3 album release, which was a live digital concert where we all got to kinda compete in teams while it was happening, it was probably the craziest event riot ever did (even tho it's not the most famous one) the band members were performing live through motion capture and there was moments we saw them performing in the backstage, they were even interacting with streamers watching it lol

Idk how much you now about TFT, but you basically play different units to activate different traits, and sets change every few months bringing new champions and skins. They went crazy for the set 10. Background music changed to incorporate every trait you had active at that time and you could basically do hundreds of versions of two songs. If you ever want to play something in the background I recommend trying it, it's a whole album

These are fictional characters and ppl are allowed to come up with their own ”fantasies” if you will. I’m referring to a specific video that made some rather egregious claims. Ppl have to realize that not everyone coming from Arcane knows OR is going to be as invested in getting to know the lore behind other League champions (which is unfortunate because diving into League as an Arcane only watcher has been incredible). I personally would love to see them cover Katarina and Garen’s relationship in a narrative, from what I’ve heard it’s a pretty epic love, but in that same breath I’m not going to crash out online because teenagers on Twitter saw a hot female character and wanted her to be with a woman yknow? I get you. But personally (and obviously this is highly subjective), I feel like Arcane and, more generally, the League lore got it pretty good. I would use Bioware games (as much as I love their classics) as a negative example here. They are so worried about having every possible relationship is represented that they always keep perfect parity between lesbian, gay and trans so that everyone is catered to, which doesn't feel... Idk, organic I guess? I understand why they're doing it and I appreciate the sentiment but the world isn't perfectly balanced. If you pick a random group of 10 people on the street, chances are slim that they're that evenly distributed. IMHO this somehow takes away some authenticity. I'm not saying NOT to represent lesbian, gay or trans relationships at all, I'm just saying that it shouldn't feel like it's merely included to fulfill a quota. Which brings me back to Arcane because to me their depiction of the various relationships feels very organic and not forced at all.

18:15 I'm sorry, but I gotta disagree with you on this! We didn't make it seem that way at all. Most of us specifically said that some Champions are part of the LBGTQIA+ community and would point out exactly who they were! But, what we got in return was people continuously shipping non gay characters into gay relationships. Those same people would complain when when we told them that the characters THEY wanted to LBGTQIA+ were, in fact, canonically not, like Katarina, for instance. Her and Garen are a thing, and soooooo many people got online and complained cause they want her to like girls. JayVik is another. Jayce and Mel are canon, while Viktor is canonically Asexual, but there are many people who won't accept that JayVik is NOT a thing. Riot has actually came out and said that ALL of they characters are Bi or Pan until canonically confirmed to be otherwise, so it bothers straight people like me when EVERY cool character that is canonically straight or in a straight presenting relationship get lambasted by LBGTQIA+ for not being LBGTQIA+ too. We need good and fair representation for all people. Every age, race, creed, color, religion, sex, gender, and sexual orientation. Any group complaining about a character not being part of their preferred demographic is problematic unless that character was designed to be, but their presentation is inaccurate, misleading, or just plain bad. A lot of League fans need to understand that some of the fanbase is coming in with only knowledge of the universe from Arcane and not everyone is going to be interested in OR know the lore behind League and other champions, which is okay lol. @artxroyalty I am a straight man, but 2 of my 3 bffs are LBGTQIA. One is male, and the other female. They are both Bi, but often the male presents as Gay, while the female presents as straight. I've been friends with them both for over 25 years, and I've seen and been present for a lot of their struggles. I was there when both came out. One in high school and the other in college. So, I try to be very aware of how I view people. I realize that these are fictional characters, but they represent someone somewhere and would like everyone to feel safe in that place. It was even awkward for myself back then because people would assume that if I was hanging with them all the time, "I MUST be gay too." It is just disheartening to see people fight and argue over simply things like respect, dignity, and (what should be common) courtesy

Riot makes competitive games but actually they have some single player games with story because they create a great iniciative calls Riot Forge that was gives their League IP to indies studios so they could make videogames of the stories of LoL, Riot would give them money for the development and the marketing as well and the indies studios would take advantage of the popularity of the IP to gain money and reputation, Riot select some little studios and they accept it with respect but unfortunally the iniciative doesnt go well even with good games, so Riot closed this initiative. The games are Song of Nunu (cozy 3D platform), Convergence (Zaun 2D platform), The MageSeeker (Hard 2D Roguelike), Hextech Mayhem (Music 2.5D videogame) and probably the better calls Ruined King (Turn-Based Combat)

True Damage is 100% my favourite of the animated League bands! Incidentally if you don't have as much of a taste for thrashy, screamy metal, but *did* like the Pentakill track, Power Metal might be something you'd enjoy! It focuses a lot more on symphonic elements, and often has more melodic vocals! (Also, others have probably recommended this a LOT, if so, forgive me for repeating; but! If you do end up streaming games, and you enjoy JRPGs, you might be interested in the Ruined King game that Airship Syndicate developed for Riot!)

MORE!! I need MORE!! Watched the whole video, so not part of the timestamp gang. I just wanted to touch on the making the champs gay subject. True league players don't care about champ being gay or whatever, they just play the game. Now there are league players who also love the Lore side of the game such as myself, so they are probably more vocal about this thing. I personally don't care about any of that stuff as long as the story is good. BUT, I can see why they were concerned. As you said, these champs were in the league a long time so they were always there. But riot was constantly changing the lore back in the day and wrote new lore as well, and they made these champ gay, that before we didn't know they were. The only "couple" that existed were Cait and Vi and even they were never confirmed until recently. So they made new stories in the lore for Diana and Leona, and then Graves and Twisted fate in short period of time. I think it was around the pride month. So that's when all these people started complaining. But as of now, there are not so many gay couples in league, or even straight couples now that I think of it. So I don't know what these people are still complaining.

Since LoL is a free to play game and Riot makes it's money selling skins for the in game characters, Music Groups make a lot of sense. They release a Group with a Music Video and have 5 skins they can sell to players that are fans of that genre/style. The thing that sux about it, is that you get hyped up for the Group and want more but riot is kinda done with it as soon as the skins are released, there are very seldomly followup songs. I wanted more TrueDamage songs! Pentakill was the first Group and there was a whole Album for them and a second skin line with a Virtual Concert. K/DA got some extra songs and a second skin line with the release of a second Single.

Lol esports is another rabbit hole, I'm soo deep into this it makes me feel so much joy and pain lmao + Storytelling is amazing about players becoming legends The one you will see the most is the final boss in Rise reading the book, Faker, the biggest esports player in the world all games included, considered one of Korea's top 4 national treasures by some (same than BTS for example lmao) Korea is deep into lol esports and he is the best of all, you'll see him in almost every world championship video French 10/10 would take you for a local Edit : about the yordle being kicked in Pentakill's video : it is necessary. Teemo is by far the most annoying character in lol, putting invisible poisonous mushrooms everywhere and destroying you everytime you step on them (then you hear Teemo laugh from afar). I was really happy how the non-romantic, yet close and (emotionally) supportive way the relationship between these two has been portrayed. I was quite surprised and honestly a little bit disappointed that so many shipped Jayce and Viktor as a couple. It seems like a lot of people these days can not fathom a close male (or intersexual) friendship without sexual attraction. Maybe I am just a bit too ace for this world but somehow this really annoyed me. While Arcane showed us in a really clever and nuanced way a world without the patriarchy, the real world is still very much dominated by it. Rant over. About the arcane and LoL fans being mad at them "turning people gay", I don't think they have a problem with LoL champions being gay or acting like there isnt any gay ones. I think their problem with arcane fans turning the straight ones gay when it already have many gay champions to choose from. I don't particularly care about the discourse between "arcane fans" and "LoL fans", since I'm both and their "problems" are downright childish, but I've seen how both sides behave and honestly, I personally think arcane fans are worse, the problem lies with the Katarina Drama, where arcane fans keep insisting on Katarina becoming a lesbian, or in their words a "girl kisser", and then the LoL fans got mad because for years have they loved Katarina x Garen, and arcane fans respond with hate towards Garen. All in all, it's just a bunch of pointless fighting over some fictional characters

I can't speak for the rest of the community, but personally, I'm all for representation in league, but I don't like the agenda SOME Arcane fans are punishing. Like with Katarina for example; the league community has always loved the spin-to-win couple (Garen and Katarina), but since Arcane a lot of new people who don't care about the game, who don't have the same passion for the characters are trying to force specific sexualites onto these characters.

18:15 tbf, there is a difference between "there are SOME in canon" and ppl "making all of them in head canon" i get both sides. shipping is nice and all, but SOME shippers just go overboard with their headcanons, pushing it onto everyone and acting as if they are some lore expert and their headcanon is the one true thing or something. and also see it from the non shippers side. depending on who u ship, you basically destroy their character, a characters which someone else has been playing as for 10+ years in some cases. it just feels very disrespectful to the src, and those who love the canon stuff. 18:19 also not true. OG LoL did NOT have them. OG characters like TF and Graves only turned out to be gay later when there was more lore, this very Varus here u see, is a Lore rework, he was nothing close before that. Diana and Leona also wasn't a thing in the beginning and only came after. Cait and Vi only were romantically involved with Arcane. So the ONLY gay character who was Gay from the beginning (his release) was K'Sante, which came out only a little bit ago. (disclaimer, I am NOT against gay stuff, i read BL 24/7 ._. just saying) 25:51 weeeeeell, Id say voicing a champions. there is always possibility to be able to "be" in a music video as my champion too then xd win win 32:37 this is a trailer of one of the few (and I believe 3rd) Ultimate skins (there are only like 7 or so).
