I get that, as a parent, you want to keep your child from falling into depression and darkness, but at the same time, you can't shield them from accountability. The only way that the younger brother can grow is if he holds himself accountable and becomes a better person because of it. As for OP, he's NTA because the two people he cared about the most betrayed him in the worst way possible. He has the right to put himself and his emotional needs above everything else in this kind of situation.

NTA. I couldn't think of any single thing that could mend that relationship and if parents are so concerned, they can spent their time and energy to focus on the kid rather than guilt tripping OP into forgiving his "brother"

Title had me worried because it wasn't his ex, but he did break up with her. Parents are just as bad or worse than the brother. OP needs to go no contact with all of them ASAP.

He is a kid... but so are you. Forgive him, if you can, when you can, but unforgiving anger is surely understandable at the moment. Did you use that language with your parents? Surely, they would have said something if you had.
