OP should find a new friend, that person is NOT a friend. Also, seeming how upset the girl was, I wouldn't be surprised if maybe the "friend" tried to set them up together. Like, I don't get why she'd be that upset about OP not talking with her or being awkward, unless she had expectations before meeting him. Or she expects everyone to befriend and love her right away, and can't stomach the thought of a shy/socially awkward person. Either way, poor OP. Hope he finds therapy that'll help better, and better friends.

The "in" of "incel" is involuntary. Sounds like he is voluntarily celibate (with one case of involuntary-not-celibate). Major difference. An incel wants a partner, but can't find one.

People need to stop miss using the world incel. While this guy does need to work on his way he talks to women he isn't being a dickhead. He has reasonable fears and the women who were supposed to love h betrayed him so after that I'd understand his unease with women
