My ex husband always talked about money, probably because he had none growing up. Finally, when he kept bringing it up to my mom, she said "you know you won't inherit anything. The trust funds were established long before you married my daughter and SHE will inherit, not you." He left in a few months, once he charged a credit card for 5 new suits for work and found another place to live (I. e., a girlfriend). It threw me for a loop since I had no idea he was unhappy. My mom told me what they had discussed because she felt it was her fault he left. I said it wasn't her fault. We divorced but I made sure he was responsible for the credit card bill since I had charged nothing on it. I also got primary custody and, since I had moved back to my home state, I got him to agree that our daughter wasn't to be taken out of state for visitation until she turned 5. He was so desperate to get out of our marriage that he agreed. What a d***headed human being. He put myself and my daughter through additional hell for years. And people wonder why I've never married again.
