Great. It looks like a casseiver on top of a surround center speaker. That is really a good idea for a DIY boombox-like project if you can find a casseiver . I think it is also possible to run a casseiver (with some mods) from a powerful battery.

Perhaps take a look at the magnetic counter wheel. Ensure that the pulley & belt are clean and pulley shaft lubricated. These have to sense the counter movement or they will shut off.
