This is a great articulation of what went into my Exos-9. I have been rooting for AIWA since day one. I had gone through 3-4 bluetooth speakers before AIWA and finally took the leap to spend that $300 on an Exos. What an epic purchase. I thought the price high going in but now I think of it as peanuts 3 years later for the hundreds of hours of joy I've had listening to the Exos. Everything Joe details is packed inside the box I bought. I couldn't articulate it like that. I could only say, "Something is wonderfully different here!". And everybody at my work who heard the box would also stop dumbfounded and ask, "Who made that speaker? It's spectacular". You do have an emotional connection with your music and you owe it to yourself to try and reproduce it as the artist intended. That is why these guys in AIWA labs spend thousands of hours meticulously tweaking the components. They know in their hearts that somebody will appreciate it and see the true value of the AIWA name. I only wish more of the products I bought each day had the pure passion poured into them like AIWA did. What an astounding success story.

Aiwa = Great Products! I appreciate you taking the time to explain what should truly go into creating a great portable speaker and how music should be felt as an emotion not just a bunch of noise! For those of us that have an ear for what real music is supposed to sound like it is much appreciated that your company takes the time and effort to try their best to create an Audiophile experience from a portable speaker and headphones. I've owned the EXOS-9 since it was released.Sold a couple to try something else.Each time I've came back to the AIWA.Im still wanting to hear 2 paired together.Maybe one day.

I have 2 and they are ok paired together, mine are separated like 6 feet apart with a tv in the middle and the speakers lose connection to each other then reconnect during use. I haven’t found a firmware upgrade yet that’s fixed it

I too like several others posting here have 2 Exos-9s - they are by far the best bluetooth speakers I have owned. I simply could not believe the sound from the first one I unpacked.

Really hoping for a clear and preset BASS response, I'm sure it's gonna have great mids and highs by the way you've presented it so far. Please sound as good, & better than the Anker Motion Plus, PLEASE be amazing lol! That's the mid-size BT speaker to beat, if the Exos-3 can out bass/and sound better than the Anker MP, I'll buy one as soon as they're readily available!!!

I own the exos 9 and it sounds good at all volumes. I mostly listen to it at 50% and the sound is just as clear when I’m blasting it at full volume. My favorite thing about it is the punchy Bass it produces. My only two complaints is the touch pad buttons and the pause in the music when changing equalizer settings. Maybe add buttons in the next gen. I recommend it to anyone who’s looking into buying one.

i live in Canada...do you have a distributor here....do you ship to Canada ? also on the exos 3 will the new firmware be done on them for better bass at lower volume ?...thx a bunch...cheers

I love the Exos 9.. bought 2 of em, both got taken from me by exes Lol.. got the Exos 8, still waiting on the mics.. not bad, not great.. I got the prodigy air too.. not a fan.. Maybe give this Exos 3 a try, maybe.

What don't you like about the prodigy airs? Is that the v1 or the v2 you have? I wasn't sure by reading your comment. Sorry about that and also losing them to your Ex :(

@@JoeBorn I have the V1. Main issue was fitment.. for some reason they would not sit right in my ear and couldn't get a good seal with the tip. Beyond that I found them greatly lacking in bass for my taste and the magnet on the charging case came loose. :(

Is a bass issue on low volume fixed by a firmware now?

I have read that the black versions have new firmware that fixes it. But I have 2 black Exos-3s and and they sound very hollow and muffled at low volumes.
