As the other comment mentioned due to (perceived) unrequited love the disease manifests as flower petals, usually the flower represents the person you're in love with. As the disease progresses roots start flourishing in your lungs and you start coughing up blood along the petals and at a late stages theyre fully bloomed flowers. Being near the person you love, depending on the author here, it either makes the symptoms worse or better. There's usually 3 options in this case: the person dies, the love is requited or you get surgery to remove the flowers but this takes away all the feelings you had for that person (and again depends on the author, it can also take away the memory of that person OR it can stray up make you incapable of falling in love agajn) Obviously there's tons of way to spice it up so it's a really cool troupe imo. Lol sorry again for the info dump beloved stranger but just in case you wanted a deeper explanation here it is

This disease is a myth that when a person feels rejected by their crush, they will start to cough blood and flower petals, to cure it, either their crush has to love them back, or do a surgery, but the surgery will make the person forget all of their memories and feelings towards their crush, hope it helped!

it's pretty much a disease where if u got unrequited love, you'll grow flowers in ur lungs🌸 violent bloody coughing ensures, but it'll be decorated with the flowers growing in u!!!😊 pretty sure it can be fatal after a while, so 😬 it does go away if the feelings are returned🎉🎉🎉

Its a fatal disease that if not treated.... well its self explanatory. You cough up flower petals and blood, your breath will smell like flowers, when your flower petals turn into full flowers it means your closer to your time eventually if you didn't get a surgery or if your crush never accepted you it will never get better and when your around them the coughing gets worse so its best to avoid them. Its very rare to have this disease but its all fictional so no need to worry abt it!☺️
