You almost need to watch episodes 60-63 in one sitting because Kubo lays so much on you so fast! Yes, Aizen's shikai is very overpowered because Aizen is very overpowered. The anime doesn't really explain that Aizen has to expend reiatsu to maintain the hypnosis effect or it would end when he seals his zanpakuto. He just has so much reiatsu that he can keep it going without feeling any strain. And Tosen is complicated. He's completely sincere in his beliefs, and he believes Aizen's cause is the pursuit of justice - against the Soul Society, which he considers unjust.

The condition for perfect hypnosis is you must be tricked by the shikai form for the hypnosis to be set. Then bankai will be him controlling your senses. So if you are aware of it, then you can avoid it, but if you have been exposed, you are at his mercy.

I feel like Tousen following Aizen really was justice, based on his past. The shinigami ABSOLUTELY are the bad guys in the Bleach story, and Aizen knew it. We only thought Aizen was the bad guy because we didn't know the whole story at this time, and the story we see is from the perspective(mostly) of Ichigo and his friends. All of them know literally nothing about the history of Soul Society. They just follow orders blindly and then react to what they see happen. Ichigo might have been on Aizen's side all along if he knew the truth.

Aizen zanpakuto is so powerful it even effects the viewers' mind XD They get so lost and confused that it just hurts their brain. Its all according to plan. Once Aizen explains it will be all clear. So anytime someone have been even the slightest of Aizen's release form of his sword everyone gets hypnotized. Imagine you were just born and the first thing u saw was Aizen's zanpakuto, you will assume the first one you saw was your mother but was just a complete hypnosis. And once u hypnotise he can do crazy things for u. Like believing you have cut Aizen but instead its other way around coz he simply way faster than you.
