Getsuga tenshou is a technique rather than zanpaktou's own ability. It's probably a family thing (somewhat inherited).

Quick info on Isshin's Gestuga tenshou. Ichigo's Getsuga is a projection of gathered "pure" Spiritual Pressure in form of a slash Ishin's is the same but with blue flames. However, in the anime the adaptation chose to coulour ichigo's Spiritual Pressure in blue instead of yellow as in the manga.

According to the author these are the differences of Getsuga Tensho's with Ichigo and his father: - Isshin's zanpakuto 'Engetsu' can do a Getsuga Tensho but it's a a large slash created with reiatsu and flames. - Ichigo's zanpakuto 'Zangetsu' can do a GT but it can be used in more long-ranged methods and it has no flames.

If you remember Ulquiorra's Cero Oscuras, it's similar with Ichigo's getsuga tensho in the bankai form (black inside and border red(Ichigo) or green(Ulquiorra)), maybe you will understand what i want to tell :D Getsuga Tenshou is a reatsu-wave attack, not individual ability of Zangetsu or Engetsu(Ichigo's reatsu change color from white to black when he activate bankai)

@@Myhaay I think you should reconsider your statement. Aizen clearly said he allowed ichigo's friends to sense his sp NOT ichigo or urahara or isshin . What I meant by saying "close" is that ichigo has the potential to surpass aizen and we already got confirmed that ichigo has atleast 4x spritual pressure more than a captain. And yes I've read the manga i even know why aizen "lost" against ichigo .

The representation of power scaling in Bleach in the Arrancar arc is pretty solid. Even though Aizen is on a whole other level, at no point in the fight do Yoruichi, Urahara, or Isshin look weak. And Ichigo’s growth is shown through clear checkpoints if you pay attention along the way, though it is easier to follow on a rewatch.

The top 3 espadas where heavy nerfed, Reddit has had quite a few discussions about why grimjow 6, noitora 5 and ulquora 4 seemed so strong and impactful while 1 - 3 didn't, it comes down to the 4 - 6 where fighting the main hero ichigo and 1 - 3 where just mulling about, playing around or indifferent and non went out and out with the goal of killing, 1 held back untill the very end trying to see a bankai, 2 couldn't be bothered to try hard to kill the insects around him and 3 wasn't fighting most of the fight serious, seemed more interested in giving a lecture and just jumped around exchanging blows untill aizen showed up.
