I'm 69 and just discovered AJ Lee...where the heck have I been. Been playing guitar since 1966 but I have to say she and her band personifies the best in Blue Grass music. Outstanding. 😎🎸

Look up some old Kids on Bluegrass vids. Same voice and stage presence in a 9 year old girl. Amazing!!

Im still wondring why AJ Lee isnt a superstar yet. She is the future of bluegrass, can lead this genre into the limelight. Beautiful girl, beautiful singer

AJ certainly has secured a place in the front rank, among the brightest stars. Diversity of approaches- a BIG PLUS, not implying a contest.

She is well known finally she (thank goodness) hasn’t “sold out” as keeps playing and singing good tunes

I believe AJ is a woman. Ok, Boomer?

@@budgibson185 is right. You sign up with big record companies, they say, "this type of music sells!" You sell out and say, ok I'm under contract for two-recording releases. Let's see where this takes us? Then it goes where your music isn't suited for or pigeon-holes you into something not natural. Can't go back, now your publicly exposed in a not career promoting fashion. You fire the band and start a whole new direction. But is that direction 'YOU'?? Or were you where you needed to be already?

Well I'm 76 and I like AJ's voice also but I also like the way other musicians in the group get to shine , even the double bass .Tino pai !

You all are such amazing musicians. A.J. your voice is so unique, beautiful - and your inflection is really just one of a kind. Nobody sings like you do. The fiddler is out of this world. Images of the great Stuart Duncan - when you play that fiddle. The bass player - well what can I say - he is terriffic - and he sings. And then there is this: What other band has TWO amazing guitarists like you do? And then there is all this original writing! You really are amazing writers, composers, arrangers, performers. I live in VA, but I wish I lived in CA just so I could watch you all play in person.

Great comment, exactly why she is my favorite singer and they are my favorite band. I am lucky to live near them so we get to see them in person from time to time. They just keep getting better, their love of the music and each other is some powerful stuff!

Jerry Garcia must be smiling down on these folks whenever they do their incredible version of Cumberland Blues. They are the best, and they just keep getting better and better.

The one they did in Goldengate Park not long after after Scott Gates joined the band (So sometime in 2022 I think?) was my favorite performance of theirs of Cumberland Blues too....They definitely do the best cover of that song of any band I have ever heard anyway!
