What many people don't realise is that Dubois is better than Joshua in many areas! Dubois is better at timing, jabbing and footwork, and he doesn't overthink in the ring, unlike Joshua. Dubois's power is arguably the same as Joshua's and their defence is roughly the same. Although, Dubois seems to be more disciplined in the ring, of the two of them. The shock came when Dubois came out in the 1st round, put pressure from the start on Joshua, and kept it going until his stoppage in the 5th, and how one-sided the whole fight was! Joshua doesn't deserve a rematch the performance and win by Dubois was too infatic! If Dubois wants a rematch it could happen but if he doesn't It won't, it's that simple. It sounds as if there is no guaranteed rematch. Joshua has Martin Bakole, Agit Kabayel, Wilder, Miller, Whyte 2, Parker 2, Ruiz Jr. 2, and Zhang all out there to fight before he should be considered for the Fury fight.

Dubois’s constitution was never in question, what we witnessed was a boxer with enough intelligence to understand the dangers of the sport he is in, a human being who knows when he has been severely damaged in a fight which will not only result in him losing the fight but could potentially end his career going forward, he has proven that his decision on both occasions afforded him the chance to survive in the sport to go on and prove that he believes in himself. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and what we saw was those decisions paying off for this much improved fighter. What was perceived as cowardice was actually INTELLIGENCE. I'm a casual, I know little about boxing other than watching many many fights, but even I noticed AJ making the most rookie mistake of all time. When he ' rolled the dice ' at the end he was wide open and ddd took his opportunity clinically.

The media were fooled like a lot of fans, claiming AJ was "back" because he knocked out an MMA fighter with one pro fight. If you ignore the Ngannou fight, this was just a natural continuation of his boxing career. This is exactly where he was heading. He is no longer the young hungry wrecking machine, and he's now becoming the nail for guys who are. He knows he's got a questionable chin, and when a guy like Dubois fearlessly comes for him the way he did, he just doesn't want that kind of smoke, and unfortunately his corner didn't seem to be tactically smart enough to help him negotiate the threat. It is what it is. For his talent level AJ has had an astonishing career, and all good things come to an end. If I was him I'd let Dubois move on and wait for the Fury/Usyk fight. Assuming Fury loses, let's make that fight at Wembley as one last giant pay day. Do it for the fans and call it a career (probably for them both). There's nothing to be ashamed of for AJ.

AJ is one of the biggest earners in boxing but he was never the best fighter in his division. AJ never even fought the best fighter. AJ has very carefully been moved around the chess board

Fought those who had the belts who were game to fight him, fought his mandatories and didn’t duck a challenge? Wilder has acknowledged in the past he turned down tens of millions he was offered to fight AJ and the only time Fury signed was when it coincidently turned out he and his team couldn’t read the terms of the contract with Wilder.

Ben was right to say roll the dice, AJ was out on his feet, he couldn't outbox Dubois, infact he couldn't even hit him, the fight should have been stopped earlier as he was unable to intelligently defend himself. AJ rolled the dice landed 2 big right hands and nearly turned it around. Ben knew he was going to get knocked out, so why not roll the dice? He literally had no ither option

Totally disagree. He should have told Joshua to get behind his jab and keep things at long range until his head cleared.

16:10 He couldnt keep Dubois at range because Dubois's jab was too good and was setting up power shots with it.

Yep. Dubois's jab was great. Plus, when AJ would throw a punch (though he would very rarely land them), Dubois was brilliant at his counter punches all night and kept landing them.

I like Simon because he knows how to piss people off. This fits in with the new model of boxing becoming WWE entertainment. Don't have valid opinions when you can have a controversial one! And, well done to him for convincing Hillary Clinton to lend him an outfit for this broadcast.

Come on guys, why focus the conversation on AJ’s future, and not celebrate how great Dubois is becoming. Let’s give the guy a bit more celebration! Super agree with the analysis on intensity and calmness. Dubois looked like a ferocious lion with a taste for blood, whilst AJ looked low, unfocused and nervous. Dubois looked absolutely fantastic. Seems like a guy who is very receptive to mental conditioning, couple that with his unquestionable physical attributes, and I think Don Charles might turn Dubois into a super warrior.

My frustration with Fury is that he has NEVER looked in shape at any point in his career. As great as he has managed to be, I can never stop thinking about how incredible he might have been if he wasn't always at least a stone overweight. One of the reasons that Ricky Hatton's career was shorter than it could have been because of the difficulty he had each time in dragging his body into shape. It gets harder and harder as you get older and each time you have to do it, it takes a lot out of you. Tyson Fury's lifestyle makes it more and more difficult for himself.
@sirlancenotalot27653 ай бұрын
It’s just Tyson’s natural body type. He’s an endomorph. Endomorphs tend to be pair shaped and don’t have the genetics to get shredded. He’s fit as a fiddle and has shown that time and time again. It shouldn’t matter what he looks like. He’s never gassed in a fight so I’m not even really sure what your point is. Even if he has put on pounds between fights it doesn’t seem to affect him. And he trains constantly.

I do think AJ wants to get back his glory and that isn’t enough to win. He will always get up and fight but will he get better, the answer is no.
