Jeez... the 3D fight was booked before 3D got the IBF - hence the rematch clause inserted. Got that? AJ not invoking it shows he feels he can't beat Dubois... then sit out and gamble on at least making serious money v Fury (If Tyson wins). And even if Tyson doesn't beat Usyk, they can both cash in on the casual fans who will support an AJ / Fury fight anyway.

Think you got the wrong end of the Stick ? Am not talking about what Fury should do,am saying that it is crazy that Eddie Hearn & indeed AJ himself should think they are entitled to fight Fury (If he wins) for the Unified Title after being battered by DDD in his last fight As for Boxing it's not just a Business you know it's a Sport as well. As for a lot of successful Business people (Multi Millionaires etc) did you know that Money is not the No 1 Motivation ? It can be about Achievement - Job Satisfaction - Legacy etc Fury has said (He says a lot of things) if he wins he will fight Usyk again & then fight DDD for Undisputed. I happen to think that AJ could still be a difficult fight for Fury (or indeed Usyk) Fury might find it easier to out think / out Manoeuvre DDD "Styes Make Fights" you know

Simon, I know you read these comments. Regarding AJ not taking the immediate rematch (when you think he should), this is why you dont work in boxing, any manager or head trainer of AJ would be making a suicidal decision throwing him back in there. DD is a style nightmare for AJ and the exact same thing would happen to him, he has his number. The best thing is to take his time and probably see what happens with the Fury fight. Thats the fight that everyone wants to see no matter what the outcome. But throwing him back in there with DD? Absolutely not!

Couldn’t disagree with Simon and Spencer more. Idealists would say yes go straight back in with Dubois and get your bragging rights back. That totally ignores the fact DDD is a 27 year-old, metabolic prime power puncher riding the crest of a wave after 3 big wins. He’s what AJ was the day after the Klitschko win. He is simply dangerous right now. AJ on the other hand is a 35 year-old brand with questionable punch resistance. Fights are not won and lost on paper. A realist who actually knows boxing would advise AJ to rebuild against his contemporaries. And he has options. Mid to late-30s fighters who remain big names, who he has genuine beef with, and who he can milk what remains of his commercial value by fighting. Those are Fury, Wilder, Whyte III, Ruiz Jr III. Maybe Joyce. AJ can claim he already beat Parker when he was world champion but ultimately Parker wasn’t the same fighter back then. Nevertheless I wouldn’t rule that fight out either. But that’s it! AJ is a confidence fighter. We only ever see him at his best when he’s confident. Sign a 2-fight deal: walk through Whyte or Joyce first and then fight Wilder for clout before Deontay retires. Come through those fights and the Fury bout is a mega fight once again, fail to do so and the Fury fight remains a cash cow, loser retires fight like Khan-Brook was. Then and only then do you risk going back in with Dubois or Usyk or whoever else is world champion by that point. That is the ‘rebuild’ now and it is perfectly legit for AJ at this point in his career. Nobody could begrudge him for that. It would give the fans what they want.

@Alex88148

@@mikeh5656 It’s not saying never rematch Dubois again, it’s saying milk your commercial value while it’s there in legacy fights, before you take that risk with DDD. AJ should never have tried to become a smart boxer. He was always a force when he used his huge size and power to destroy. That’s exactly what Dubois is doing on his last 3 fights. No messing about- just keep attacking and the powers there, no one can survive it from Dubois because he has a good chin too. AJ at least has huge strength and power and he should use it far more. But he won’t because he’s worrying about going the distance all the time. Did young George Foreman worry about going the distance?

The fact that joshua isnt taking the dubois rematch, if that is the case means that he or his team doesnt believe he can win it inless its down to an injury as is the potential rumour however if hes not confident enough to fight daniel dubious again, then i dont think he should fught fury, because evne if fury loses again I still think he will be mentally strong for an aj fight. However honestly i dont belive daniel dubious is a very good fighter i think in terms of skills etc aj is better, aj problem is one thats inside his head rather than the actual boxing skills , traits and understanding he has essentially if the mind is fragile then even those with the ability at their disposal to be the best at whatever they do wont be able to do anything, you have to believe you can make it when you go for anything, you can have the greatest punch in the world in traing but if yiu dont feel mentaly bold enough to throw that punch then it never gets thrown and it never gets shown, i think this is effectively what haopened to aj in the dubois fight, because all his orevious findamentaks he showed completely dissaperead in the fight

Two of the best in the world fight on Saturday but unfortunately I guess the host, seemingly the top expert in boxing, doesn't think it's worth a mention ahead of some of these topics 👍 More AJ talk next week

Apparently all AJ cares about is becoming a 3 time world heavy weight champion, yet hes ducking a rematch this is a business decision not a boxing one! He gets iced by Dubois again anyway

Very brave guys pointing out Olympic corruption in regards Roy Jones and Mayweather being robbed but conveniently ignore the blatant corruption in London 2012 that gifted AJ a gold when he shouldn't of got a medal at all, Savon dominated him in one sided fashion.

AJ and his team will be hoping for the Fury loss to set up that big fight. He don’t want that Dubois smoke again 😂

Lets be real, AJ vs Wilder should be next. A real loser leaves town matchup. Both faded stars but it would be a thriller with a KO likely for either. Great co main event or a headliner for the o2

Regarding Khelif, if this is true about having male chromosomes, then zero sympathy for the athlete, hopefully stripped of the medals and any money that was accrued from winning under false pretence, the athlete new exactly and took advantage of their physical advantages over women, what a despicable human being, knowing you have male testosterone but still willing to fight naturally weaker women, disgusting!!

I reckon AJ will fight J Parker. If he wins it puts him back into contention for a belt. He beat J Parker before. Not sure he will have it in him to beat J Parker now.

AJ shouldn’t have even been allowed the option of a rematch. I’m glad he’s injured (bottled it). AJ needs to retire

Legend Denzel Bentley actually saying how it is with Eubank. He’s not world level and is shot, no power no chin. Bentley would do him in 6 rounds

AJ realises whatever he does dubois just has the jab and the power to rattle him to the core with every punch, he is also faster. Joshua don't want none of that again, he has never been whooped like that. He will be scared of him next time. He will try a few more money fights complete set ups and he's done. Maybe he will fight fury just for cash. He has a better chance against fury than dubois. But Joshua 100% on way out hes scared to trade as he gets rattled so easy.

He isn’t playing a dangerous game at all. AJ will still generate the money so the DDD fight will still happen next year if the Fury fight doesn’t. Money talks and that’s all it’s about.

If AJ doesn’t take the DDD rematch any shred of credibility he has left will be gone. That is a rematch AJ doesn’t even deserve by the way. AJ has always been massively overrated and overhyped
