I’m so proud of how far Enzo has come with therapy but most importantly of you for your loving kindness towards him and patience. You need to give urself more grace because you are doing the best you can and you’re proactive with him at home. Ur so sweet and thoughtful for giving him the iPad just so we don’t hear him scream. Girl he’s a toddler everyone of your real followers are understanding. Even when h take breaks from KZbin we get it 🥰🫶🏽god bless u and ur fam Aja!❤

I don’t know if you’ll read this comment but I wanted to share that my son was nonverbal until 4 years old. He’s now 6 and is a chatter box. He’s also now considered pretty advanced. I also went through many different evaluations etc with him. It was incredibly overwhelming. You are amazing to be sharing Enzo’s story. It’s helpful for mothers to see that they aren’t alone. You are a strong Mama!

Sis you are doing such a great job with Enzo and being patient with his development. My nephew is 3 years old and was diagnosed with autism. He’s nonverbal and I’ve been struggling with the idea of him not fully understanding who I am. But seeing Enzo’s progress with speech therapy gives me hope and you have definitely shown me how to be more understanding and supportive of his journey. Loved the vlog per usual. Already hype for next weeks video 🤍

My mom just like you realized that he wasn’t speaking a bit younger than normal and took the time and resources like you to HELP the situation. I will stand with you and just know that YOU are doing a great job. I know it is hard and you think the opposite of what if.. but he is healed and in 20 years you will be acknowledging his accomplishments to the world. 😊😊

He will and you will come through this. I have two sons and it was my youngest that I observed was not speaking at the same time as his older brother, so it was very clear to me they were developing differently. It was so hard to not compare them, because they are only a year and a half apart. Sammy my youngest son, I really pushed for him to do the speech therapy and they had him in occupational therapy as well. It really helped. I had to just stop comparing my sons , I also constantly thought I had something to do with it. Just know you are a loving , supportive, and caring mother. My son is 12 now and he has come so far , his vocabulary is phenomenal. My love and support goes out to you. I will keep you in my prayers through this journey.

And Aja, I definitely know how you feel as a mom to autistic child. I think in another vlog I commented about my son's speech. He didn't say a word until he was 3. And now at 6 years old he can do 2-3 word sentences. The comparison talk is something most parents with children who are delayed in some area go thru. It's okay to cry and grieve those experiences. It's hard for others to understand but from one mom to the next we see u ❤❤❤❤

When I look around my classroom I couldn't tell who crawled first, who walked before one or spoke in sentences by 15 months. I can't tell you if their parents breastfed or bottle fed. No clue if they still wear pull-ups at night, because I'm sure many do! I don't know if they potty trained at 18 months or 4 years old. I don't know if their mom ever left them to cry it out for a few minutes or if they strapped them to their bodies 24/7. You know what I can tell when I look at my kids? I can tell which families value kindness and manners in their homes. I can tell when a child feels love and secure at home (and at school which sadly isn't always everyone's schoo experience!) I know who has pizza and movie Friday nights and which mom reads in different voices for bedtimes. I see how kids handle scary situations like thunderstorms. I can see who has a solid routine at home and who has chores and responsibilities. I can hear how you speak your children by how they speak to others. When I look at my little friends I don't see their milestones, I see who they are: their heart, their actions, their inner voice, their struggles and triumphs, and I see you; and all the love you pour into them. We are always supposed to talk about testing and benchmarks and data during parent teacher conferences and I had a mom last time look at me and say " I don't worry about all the reading and math, she will get there. I want to know... how is she, as a person? Is she kind? Does she include others?" I found this on tiktok, caption was “first grade teacher wrote this” I really needed this, and you may need this too 🫶🏽

I’m so glad you included your sentiments in last week’s vlog. The real parents understand. I have two boys, 2 and 5, so I’m right there with you. We’re getting started on speech therapy with me youngest for the exact same reasons as Enzo. It’s hard to not compare him to his brother because he was speaking clearly & in complete sentences at 18 months. No two kids are the same but it is hard not to question yourself as a parent even though developmental delays are beyond your control. I’m rooting for you as we fight the same fight. We got this🤞🏽

Babe don’t beat your self, just from the last vlog I was like awe look at how much progress Enzo is making. Each kid is different and that’s okay. My nephew was the same way as Enzo….he didn’t start verbally using words until he was 4….now he is 12 and won’t stfu lol. I think my nephew being around other kids for school helped him out. All he used to do is point and the only word he would say is “keki” in reference to his sister who name is Ashley (how he came up with that idk) but just give Enzo time he will be fine. You are going down the right path with getting the help and going the lengths you’re going..you’ll be good. 💕… P.S… this is the content that eats.. love the rawness and vulnerability
