That day he went very close to the ballon d'or and the world cup ( I don't think Croatia had any chance against Belgium ). Hearthbreaking loss against a very defensive team, but France can win even when they're playing an ugly football on a bad day. Nothing could have been more satisfying than seeing Hazard holding the world cup.

100% talent 100% joy 0% professionalism Watching this guy in his Chelsea days was the most joy I ever had watching football, every time he was on the ball you expected to see something and hear all the "ooohs" and "aaahs" in the stadium. He always played with a big smile. When he had his day he was litteraly unstoppable (except if you fouled him). Too bad his injuries and lack of professionalism finally caught up to him. I'm convinced that if this guy worked as hard as Ronaldo, he'd be right up there with Ronaldo and Messi as the greatest of this generation. As pure of a talent as they come.

No, because if he would have worked harder, it would become a chore and it would have taken away from his joy. I'm convinced that how his career went was the only way it could have worked for him, and he knew it would eventually end for him when he lost his enjoyment.

I've never seen a better dribbler in the Epl than Hazard.Chelsea had 2 top wingers on both flanks.Hazard and Robin. Probably the best 2 left and right wingers in the Epl era.

Tout a commencer avec la blessure vs PSG. Le pire c'est que c'etait avec Meunier, mais il a clairement pas fait expres. Apres cette blessure on a plus jamais retrouve le meme Eden, il allait de blessure en blessure.

In a footballing era where players are looking to pad their G/A stats to be relevant in the news, Hazard is among the few who just wanna dance on the pitch. Jose Mourinho warned the whole world about the importance of protecting him on the pitch but the referee's world ignored. The injuries eventually ended his career. It's understandable when I see how Arsenal is trying everything possible to protect SAKA from those tackles. They just don't wanna lose him early like we did experienced with Hazard.

The saddest part is that the injury that started it all came from his Belgian team mate Thomas Meunier and it was clearly an unfortunate event that could have happened to anyone.
