Important gaps exist in the current intervention arsenal for reducing HIV risk among sexual and gender minority populations, and nowhere is there a greater need than among transgender Latinas. In this AJPH video abstract, Scott D. Rhodes, PhD, MPH, outlines how a behavioral, community-based HIV prevention intervention in North and South Carolina designed to promote PrEP uptake among Spanish-speaking transgender Latinas greatly increased PrEP uptake.
