It'd kind of be cooler if there was no summoning ritual; just making a single feast that large will always call him. An eldritch punishment for gluttony. Something few ever realize is even a risk, because so few survive.

I love all those pocket dimension stomach communities. Just a bunch of people who didn't die once eaten, and are just kinda stuck there. At least inside Dalmosh there is a constant rain of... Weapons made from Dalmash. Are proven to be a mixed blessing, on one hand, using it feeds the abomination, on another, it IS a VERY EFFECTIVE method against any other demon or devil, or pretty much anything, except Dalmash, making something like this is extremely dangerous, and costly, and the risk is dificult to assess in any other word that is not : extreme. but is pretty handy in a demonic incursion. As long as you can stop yourself from losing your hand.

As part of a ttrpg group 8 years ago, My group tried to take down Dalmosh. In the end, we caused a reality crisis by using a double bag of holding to take/swallow Dalmosh. 😂 The gods were kind of pissed. Understandably, our story ended by being traded between the powers of the Abyss and the gods of the material plane. Fun times.

@AJPickett9 ай бұрын
Honestly, I don't know and I would pay well to see it.
@Nox-eg3rq9 ай бұрын
My money is on the tarrasque , he can theoretically devour anything, and his 3 legendary stomachs are capable of destroying artifacts, some half sentient demonic flesh has no chance
@derekstein61939 ай бұрын
5e Tarrasque would lose, as its attacks don't deal magical damage, and it can't swallow Dalmosh. Also, no Regeneration trait. 3.5e Tarrasque would win simply because it requires a Wish spell to put him down AFTER dropping him to -20 HP. Also, his bite and claws ignore damage reduction (as if made of adamantine), and he regenerates FAST.

hard to call
@supersmily58119 ай бұрын
@@AJPickett Probably the Terrasque, if 5e stats have anything to say about it. Roughly equal in size, but the Terrasque is CR 30 while demon lords tend to range from CR 18-23, roughly equal to ancient dragons.
@shadowwarrior10039 ай бұрын
Yes but there are low cr creatures that can tpk a level 20 party, so cr is nebulous at best
@supersmily58119 ай бұрын
@@shadowwarrior1003 This is true. However, the difference at the highest levels of play tends to be more pronounced due to the extreme stats and traits of the creatures. Because the Terrasque was base 5e in the Monster Manual it's a bad example due to its simplicity, but the modifiers are still there. Also, in the above video Dalmosh is described as being able to eat even Large creatures, but the Terrasque can eat Huge creatures. So there's at least some tangential evidence the matchup goes in the Terrasque's favor.
@shadowwarrior10039 ай бұрын
@@supersmily5811 oh yeah goes in terrasques favor, especially if you take into account the lore specific bit where the stomach of the terrasque dissolves even magical properties, possibly able to truly kill a demon or devil outside of their home planes? Not sure how that would work honestly

@@davidfletcher6703 It's whatever you want. But if you ask me yes since he said it's origin is the very energy of the Abyss itself. Think of all the creatures of the Abyss that starve horribly and make that feeling manifest as a dimension across multiple layers of the Abyss and this is what you get. No shot it won't mess you up in some way if you consumed it; a ravenous curse at least.
