I'm russian I've disassembled an AK many times at school, but had no complete understanding of its mechanics. Dozens of youtube videos weren't helping either, untill i came across this very one. It's simply beautiful. Everything is so clear now, even the smallest details and nuances. Huge thanks to the author

I used my AKM for 30 months - every single day on the range and plenty times in combat. It never had a stoppage for any reason whatsoever ... even when I'd slept on it in the mud or thrown it in the back of the vehicle among the 'spoils of war.' It takes genius to produce a tool so simple, yet so effective and reliable. A fellow warrior preferred an FN-FAL that he'd lovingly care for at every halt, every opportunity ... yet he still threw it into the bush after it had failed him a number of times in a very busy day, screaming "find me a 'kin AK!"

@sandervanduren2779
@sandervanduren2779 4 жыл бұрын
denther 16 recoil is generally regarded as the push back from firing. Muzzle rise is a vector of force breaking off of the main recoil force vector due to ergonomics or asymmetric mass in the recoiling components. The original comment was specifying the muzzle rise, not the push itself. The force vector that causes muzzle rise does come from the same force that the regular push from recoil comes from, but they are two different aspects.

ANOTHER excellent animation! I'm impressed. It is refreshing to see that someone has the technical terminology correct as well, especially when it comes to firearms. The only comment I might add is that it would be VERY informative, primarily for those unfamiliar with semiautomatic rifles in particular, would be to specify and differentiate between what is an "Assault" rifle as opposed to a plain-jane semiautomatic rifle, even if they look nearly identical in outwards appearance. Otherwise, thanks for your efforts.

The AK-47 (or AKM) is no longer the Russian standard issue service rifle. That position is occupied by the AK-74M, which is currently in the process of being replaced by the AK-12. I don't really think the AK-47 is the rifle you used. Would anyone care to correct me on this? I'm not entirely sure about this. I might Google it later.

It was 2012, the port of Tartus in Syria. used a modification of the AKS-74 and AKM-74. (both have butts). AKM-47 (by the way, he entered service only in 1949) fired only at the training unit. at AKM-47 monstrously throws up the barrel (the muzzle brake-compensator has not yet been installed) and the old cartridges stink and smoke. also shot from a Kalashnikov 47-RPK-47 light machine gun.

in service is still a modification of the AK-47 (AK-103, AK-109) chambered for 7.62. from 30 gauge will not give up for a long time. He is very good for certain tasks. Who did not know, there are Kalashnikov assault rifles for 5.56 rounds, like the AR-15. they are used by special forces

Except that the AK was just a bastardized version of a German design already in production for years, the MP-44. The primary design and FCG were already "conceptualized" by a more intelligent, superior German. Kalashnikov didn't design much at all actually.

Bolt, carrier and trigger group are very different on AK and StG44. They may look alike on the outside, but that does not mean they work the same way. You may as well make an AR15 look like an AK on the outside, but keep the original internals and mechanical principles. Would you say after that that AK and AR are the same? I don't think so.

I figured if I could take stuff apart it would be just as easy putting stuff back together. Being around 7 or 8 I wanted to a inventor and I was curious about how stuff work so I can use stuff to build robots and cool toys. I'm also mechanic now past 20 years and now I understood how pissed my Dad was when I took apart his Tools. Haha.
