It never had a stoppage for any reason whatsoever ... even when I'd slept on it in the mud or thrown it in the back of the vehicle among the 'spoils of war.' It takes genius to produce a tool so simple, yet so effective and reliable. A fellow warrior preferred an FN-FAL that he'd lovingly care for at every halt, every opportunity ... yet he still threw it into the bush after it had failed him a number of times in a very busy day, screaming "find me a 'kin AK!"

Sander van Duren no, recoil can be regarded as the muzzle zeroing off the target as well as the kick. Just for future reference :)
@sandervanduren27794 жыл бұрын
denther 16 recoil is generally regarded as the push back from firing. Muzzle rise is a vector of force breaking off of the main recoil force vector due to ergonomics or asymmetric mass in the recoiling components. The original comment was specifying the muzzle rise, not the push itself. The force vector that causes muzzle rise does come from the same force that the regular push from recoil comes from, but they are two different aspects.

The ak is a stg 44 copy in some ways but it is best thought of as an evolution of the stg 44 design.

@Burak Coskun AK is not copied from the STG44. Aside from the gas system they are mechanically totally different.

I don't understand why there are people disliking these videos as this has been the best videos I have ever seen explaining how a rifle works!! I'm not going semi, but an auto sub - - - - - On your channel.
@BillRoyMcBill5 жыл бұрын
The people disliking it are probably just anti-gun, gun haters...you know, the ones who would be terrified to be alone in a room with a gun, because it might all of the sudden hurt them.

This should be the music that plays in the gun store when you go out and buy an AK

Good animation but the cleaning rod knob beneath the barrel at 5:40 should lock under the two lower "legs" of the front sight so that it doesn't fall out when you fire rapidly!

Thomas Schwenke I would appreciate if you could do a video animation of how a AN-94 works. I find this weapon both interesting and complex. I watched other videos of how a AN-94 works but I find this mechanism very complicated and this is far one of the most complicated gun I ever encountered. Thank you :)

I needed a channel like this when I was a kid in the 80s, I'd always get in trouble taking everything apart, Dads Power Tools, Television, VCR, stuff like that. I figured if I could take stuff apart it would be just as easy putting stuff back together. Being around 7 or 8 I wanted to a inventor and I was curious about how stuff work so I can use stuff to build robots and cool toys. I'm also mechanic now past 20 years and now I understood how pissed my Dad was when I took apart his Tools. Haha.
