Swastik Banerjee was born into Hindu family. At a very young age, he was introduced to the mystery traditions of Indian culture. His deep interest in the world of the occult drew him into the obscure practices of Tantra-a system of magic that emerged from the eastern region of Bengal. This led him to learn from true practitioners and expand his esoteric knowledge. In 2014, his Guru blessed him with the Mahashodashi, Purnabhiseka, the supreme mantra in the Srividya form of Tantra. Later, he received the highest initiations of Kaula Tantra in the path of Kali Kula and Mahavidya Sadhana. Swastik’s’ urge to understand ‘Supreme Principle’ drove him to seek answers in Advaita Vedanta, and ultimately, he found his refuge in the Auttara Trika Kaula doctrine. He studied under the lineages of Mahamahopadhyay Gopinath Kaviraj and Swami Lakshman Joo. He traveled throughout India to learn the ways at the feet of the Gurus. His doctoral research in the Philosophy of Religion focussed on the Trika doctrine of Self. He was also offered the opportunity to pursue his Doctor of Philosophy in Theology from the prestigious University of Oxford. He has secured the first rank in his master’s degree in Philosophy & Religion from the University of Madras.
