When Larry was creating his content the situation wasn't that much different than today. The War in Ukraine started in 2014 actually. Georgia was even earlier, and Chechenya is acient history almost. The only change is russias opennes about what kind of country it is.

@grzegorzzak11094 ай бұрын
B S. First of all, its not that NATO is actively expanding. Former eastern block countries are doing what they can to secure themselves from Russia. NATO access is the most effective way. Secondly Chechenya started due to Russias ressistance to Soviet Union desolving. Thats the most they were able to do at that time. You got it "ass backwards".

I love Velocity Systems! I truly think they are underrated. I love em because the owner of an electrical company I worked for out of HS is the brother to the owner of VS (or he was owner at the time not sure if he sold it) so we did a lot of work constantly in there so I saw the production of the product. Also I’m from VA so I gotta support them especially since they are an hour down the road.

Everyone is learning the Muzzle Brake lesson that I learned in the Mid 90's putting the JP Performance Brake on the Hungarian AK and the HK91. (91 did not need a Brake when you put a 2 Stage HK Recoil Buffer on it, and it felt like a 223556. Velvety nice.) Remaining with the 308 AK, the Flash Hider is the only reasonable thing to do, because any Brake is demoralizing to friendlies in the field, and casualty producing in a building. Covering Lights has been something I chose to do years ago. But my lights are so powerful, the Butler Creek Covers I chose to use will melt in about 3-5 minutes. I expect them to be disposable at this point. TDI has been making quite useable Rail Handguards for well over a decade. Tip of the hat to that. Note the use of the Rifle Scorpion Taco Pouch. I have seen that useful as well for the 308AK mag (which have the snag factor of lugs). Even inverted for Reach Back Draw. It is likely no wonder that he has not placed a laser on this gun. Even despite the use of the TDI rail, I would not believe that any Laser, any color spectrum or design, would hold zero. Your milage may vary, and probably explains the entry of the Zenitco products to improve that market offering for upping the capabilities of the AK. Besides that, as much as I like a Green Laser, it has liabilities in use, but can be useful: in a snap shot from the hip, Back up directed illuminator for stepping in the dark, id, location, and snap target designation immediately followed by movement all of this requires judicious consideration. He looks like he has a nice light set up. Yet in the end, it probably is about the same weight as a 16" non suppressed AK308. Sound Fury is the price of Penetration Fury. Meanwhile, the OL on that set up, even with a folding stock, is unwieldy in comparison to the shorter Pistol length Barreled Armalite/Stoner systems that the US Military has moved to, even without a folding stock like the MCX/Spear. Since the US will never see Russian guns commercially ever again, it will be the job of the US Market and Engineers to take the reliable and simple AK system into the 21st Century Cartridges of the 6.8x51, 300AAC, 6.5 Grendel, and the 6 ARC. I believe a 300Krik Pistol would absolutely take off, and the 300 (52-53K) is the most like AK cartridge of US design. Pressure wise, the 6.5 Grendel (52K) should follow, as some Grendel shooters can engage 900m on first shot with 12" of real estate. The 6 ARC could follow with 62K, and yes, both of those cartridges are based off the Russian 7.62x39 (45-51K). We already have a US manufacturer of Valmet, Galil, and other lugged AK mags who is quite good. We are also seeing solid hinged rail covers by more companies now. The Revolution is underway.

Nobody in Russia uses the TWS especially back in the days of the larry vickers video. They were given to them to add american influence for the sake of the video. TWS rail has had issues with not being able to hold zero. Zenitco has been around since the 90s and their products are widely used in russia since they hold zero perfectly.

I got my AK in a tactical set up from the store i bought it from, base version was a mkk104. So it has a shorter barrel which makes it a bit more easy to maneuver with, a one piece M-lok handguard. And the stock changed for an buffertube makes it also a bit nicer to shoulder with an AR type stock. Did put a TWS dog leg rail 3 topcover on it recently, to have my scope a bit closer. Using a Primary Arms microprism which is awsome. Only thing i am planning on changing now is the trigger, got a Mimtac AR drop in trigger, and already had a taste of the prototype version they are making for the AK. Thats gonna put that cherry on the whole thing and gonna make shooting it even more fun. I do wonder, why run the AK mags facing that way, maybe its personal preference or because of the pouch. But i tend orient my AK mags the same way as my AR mags with bullets facing left. Which makes taking mags out for the AK also the easiest because of the curve of the mag itself.

Hey man, this is my first time seeing your channel so far extremely good believe it or not, I love my M4 and ak exactly the same. They each have their own purpose. M4 has a slightly better advantage with its optics1x6 magnification with a push of my thumb and it’s 90° angle red dot but other than that I could put Benet on both of them, it was extremely easy. I got the WASR/10 Romania AK-47 made in 1964 during the Cold War my friend that sold it to me got mad that I took off the wooden furniture and for now I have all magpul. Which is fine. It looks really good. The folding stock is rock solid but I’m looking for it to look like an AK you’ve never seen before and extremely good looking. A few weeks ago I saw a drop in AK-47 i’ve never heard of it but if it helps round shoot faster, I know the AR platform through the back of my head. I was making 80% lowers 12 years ago before anybody knew anything about it. I have some pretty sick ARs. This is the only AK I can have. I wanted to be the best one I can make. What breaks my heart is. My house is broken into years ago and they stole my Narino Mack 90 smoothest nicest most accurate most best. Everything AK I’ve ever shot. I bought it back in 2010 I think for 350 bucks they go for like three grand now? Will you please help me make this the sickest most bad ass AK I’ve ever seen or shot? Don’t get mad but my 10.3 inch 300 blackout that shoots the Barnes VOR-TX 300 AAC Blackout Ammo 120 Grain Barnes Tipped TAC-TX Polymer Tip well kill a deer better than an AK and day. I’m getting off track please help me make an amazing AK

I look at using an AK the same as using an M16A2. For me nothing would change except the mags and ammo. As an old guy I had the M16A2 my entire career. First time I shot an AK was in Iraq in 2003. It was an old worn out AK (no idea of manufacturer). Id have traded my M16A2 Immediately for it if I could have. The old school slant cut muzzle brake is fine with me, but a suppressor would be nice on a shorter barrel.
