My 2 big WTF audio discovery this year is this absurd DAP (3500$) and the Hifiman IEM RE2000 (re2000 for 2000$)....its just plain hifi sarcasm. This should not exist, but hey, capitalism permit this kind of WTF luxury stuffs....don't envy them, its just for they eyes! For the ears, look at chinese new budget hifi market, it kick ass of lot of them. Oh, and for this absurd DAP, they lie saying its the only one using the incredible AK4497EQ DAC....there a chinese one called F.AUdio FA1 that have it too, with balanced line out as well....for what? 250-270$. Check it out LOL

Right now I have in my possession the Hifiman RE2000 that I borrow for curiosity (can share pics if you want proof), and my favorite DAP is the Ibasso DX90 that cost me 400$ ( at the time), I have as well the Hifiman RE800 and Campfire Audio Polaris so yeah go on and use your little vulgar imagination to reassure yourself about overpriced luxury industry. Hifiman is a chinese company by the way....don't even know why I answer a dumb comment like your.

But those who buy know exactly what they pay for, believe me. If you'd have compared SQ of Ultima vs your DX90, ibasso whould go to the trash can immediately.

I have compared the Ultima to DX90 and other numerous DAP (have about 10 in my possession), so sorry but i know what you try to convaince me is....ultimate BS. There a 100$ chinese DAP that use as well the same AK4497 flagship dac....its plain simple, rich ass just like to convaince themself that what they buy is better than other cause they think we cannot even try it, AK use naive dumbness of credule vain rich ass as main client and they dont need to sell alot of there ''totl'' dap to make immense profit, they make less % profit on lower level dap, you surely know diminushing return about upper range hifi too....fabrication cost of Ultima is surely incredibly low compared to price they sell, so, these DAP is just for people that dont give a damn about price value in term of sound, wich anyway is kind of an illusion too-if you have a clean audio source with black noise floor your way better to invest in headphones or speaker to obtain a better sound quality....and another time AK or Hifiman will be the last intelligent choice to make. I have try the hifiman re2000 for 2 months, compared with 10-200$ IEM, and conclusion was some of the sub-200$ IEM kick his ass, same thing for the Grado GS1000 I buy but have a pooor construciton wich is a shame at this 1000$ price (buy them for 250$). MAn, you really think im dumb eh....but I find you funny....and your ferrari comparaison is the proof of your superfaciality ...anyway, enjoy your money power man, enjoy your lie, but dont feed me with it, stay hide. @@lucascranach3613 Lmao, its clear as daylight u havent compared a shit., and u havent ever listened anything better than your shitty DX90. And the fact that u use the 'same DAC' argument just proves u dont udnerstand a shit in audio. DAC on itself means nothing, what really does is the whole audio path that the signal passes starting on the output of your DAC chip and ending in your jack, including the amplifier - and thats where all the engineering difference lays between shitty chinese DAPS and a well engineered product. The implementation of DAC matters, not the chip itself which is a basic part. And of course Ultima does not worth the 3500$, its an obvious thing. Just like no car worth 300k$. But your pay for exclusivity and for the best sound on the market. Whether its worth it or not - its your own decision. But your arguments that it sounds just like cheap chinese dap are just laughable.
