AKA, Tibz murder suspects denied bail

The Durban Magistrates Court has turned down a renewed bid for bail by two of the 5 accused in the murder case of rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes. Forbes and his friend - Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane - were gunned down in Durban in 2023. In his ruling, Magistrate Vincent Hlatswayo said the facts presented by the accused were not new and had been dealt with in the bail application that was denied in May last year. The suspects face multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of murder, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition, and five counts of attempted murder.
