A simple explanation of the law here could have helped her. A company is a juristic person and not a natural person so it can only be charged of criminal or fraudulent crimes through through the conduct of its agents or directors through the concept of vicarious liability. This simply means if the company is guilty, the directors are guilty... Im genuinely concerned that her legal team didnt inform her of this simple fact of law.
