The black onyx actually at times almost had a yellow undertone instead of green. Interesting that it was the color that you said smelled bad like their yellow you used before.

I was so upset about ion discontinuing their black. That's all I used to use 😢 they do have "professional" semi permanent black I get, but not everyone can get it! So stupid.

That black onyx looks like when a new to the industry stylist dyed my light blonde hair to a cool-toned dark brown per my request 😅 it was definitely a weird green brown color.

The Black Onyx color definitely had some weird undertones, but I do feel like it could be used in a scenario where the base color is like a medium red and the client wants to go a cooler black shade and cancel out some of those red tones. I suppose that is the only instance where that color could be justified lol

I've used the black shades from Adore!! And in my experience they came out of my hair pretty easily but of course everyone's results may vary. 💖

@ yes I agree I had no issues with the adore jet black semi permanent hair color and it fades out really nicely, I haven’t tried to remove it out yet but whenever I do go to remove it I’ll use color oops because color oops usually works the best for me when it comes to removing any black or dark hair color, I’ve used it to remove L’Oréal red box hair dye and it works my hair would come out kinda like a ginger blonde or copper color sometimes but it’s an easy fix to either use color oops a second time and then tone with toner or any hair color 🥰

Thank you for the video ! I think the weird color may have weird greenish undertone because it’s meant to go for a neutral brown, and the green may be for neutralise the warmer/reddish tones

I could definitely see the green undertone of the natural black when you were applying it so i expected it to go green after the color remover. I would definitely rather have red than green though!

On those containers that don’t have the little tab I have some sharp scissors that I poke a little hole and cut straight across so I can rip the 2 sides off.

I had applied Brown Obsidian on my previously dyed mids and ends (my natural is over 6" long at this point) and...it looked pretty for like a wash and then it turned BRIGHT TURQUOISE :( took forever to get out of my hair ! I'd say something like 3 months because I didnt want to damage my hair. I used different color removers like the Phase Out and Color Oops...even Pulp Riots' Blank Canvas...never again. I had been touching up my lighter mids and ends with Manic Panics' Cat Tail, Maria Nila Cocoa Brown and Color Luxe's Brown and Auburn for the better part of a year with no issue. So...even if you have copper and red tones ...on previously lightened hair and slap this all over...your hair will turn turquoise. To finally get my hair to normal (from having minty green ends here and there) I ended up doing one more round of color oops then I applied 2 kinds of cotton candy pink over my hair...which have now faded to a super pastel cotton candy.

I hones truly love Adore semi-permanent blacks. Their purple black is my favourite but all of them for me come out super easily. I've never tried to bleach them, only wash out and they've never stained. Highly recommend, would love to see you try to bleach them to see what happens!

@@janetvandenassem8401 honestly, I don't remember but if you find blacks fading green, you can put red on first before the black and it really mitigates that. Their purple black fades down to a purple even on bright white hair though, with nothing underneath.

I am just now going to redo my Iroiro Neon Pink. I love it sooo much. It stays so long. I am a cool toned light pink girl but I love the neon while it lasts. I do not like how much it bleed when washing. I take a horseshoe parting and put it on top of my head and do the underside. So it bleeds on my blonde in the shower. I guess I need to was my hair in 2 sections or in the sink in 2 sections. I will say purple shampoo gets the bleeding pink off my blonde so it’s not too bad. Thanks Aislinn 💖

The greenish brown color can be used on blonde hair to get a neutral brown. Anytime u go from blonde to brown, u have to fill the hair first. You have to full it with either orange or red otherwise the brown will look faded and mucky. The red used to fill the hair would then cancel out the green in the brown dye to create a nice neutral brown.

I was gonna say, anyone who wants to go from blonde to brown/black needs to fill the hair with copper/red first. Almost any time you throw black over blonde it will look green.
