Content idea: Save all your swatches and do a Color Oops Extravaganza once a year… outside in the summer! Break it up into a series by brand or color and make it multiple parts. You can compare how Color Oops works to the initial color remover method from the swatch video FOR SCIENCE! I would watch the crap out of that! You should pitch it and see if they’ll sponsor it!

Golden brown is my favorite for sure. I definitely feel like if you mixed the golden brown and golden copper together like you said, it would be such a pretty darker copper color. Love your videos! Your makeup always looks sooo good and your voice is soothing.

This reminds me of when right after lockdown lifted, I was at my aunts salon & I remember hearing one of the stylists say “every damn one of my old ladies used overtone & every damn one of them wanted me to lighten their hair because they hated the color!” Lol she was like “God love em, but I hate that damn overtone with a passion”. 😂

I started dyeing my hair with vivid colors during the pandemic. I used Overtone because I fell prey to advertising, lol. You are right. Those colors are impossible to remove! I do like the products, but I fried my hair trying to get their Extreme Orange out!

I feel like the issue is they may have been wanting to go too cool toned? If you got any orange/red/warmth in your hair and put it on top it would come out dark cool brown, which is (from my understanding) what espresso brown is. Though it could still turn funky when washed out even over a base that's not blonde

I feel like I'm the only person on earth who's ever had a good experience with overtone. I used their pink and purple exclusively and never had issues getting it out of my hair! 😭 Maybe the formula is different for these shades? I also really love the smell.

During the pandemic I started putting a dark blue Overtone in my hair. Loved the black-blue color, but when I went back to work and had to bleach it out it turned a lovely mint-green, not blonde. Covered it with red luckily but was SUPER surprised by it not bleaching out. Kinda wish they provided a warning about that.

I used espresso brown continuously on my virgin hair for about 6 months. Stained my hair pretty bad and was getting patchy, so I went to get my hair color corrected by a professional. She didn’t use a color remover to accommodate my budget so she just bleached it. Parts of it lightened green!!! Luckily she toned it but we were so confused why it was pulling green lol

yeah, it looks like from the website that the ones with the thinner formulation that you like are listed as being treatment masks and the thicker dryer ones are the depositing conditioners, so unless the other new colors that are listed as depositing conditioners also are thinner, my guess is that it's not a new formulation for the colors, it's a mask vs conditioner formulation.

I used one of their dark brown shades a few years ago. It dried my hair out and gave a gross green tinge. Maybe one these newer formulations will work for me.

I mix their extreme green with a little bit of my juniper green dye and my normal conditioner in a pump bottle to keep my dark green vibrant while showering. My hair is super fine, so just using their daily conditioner non diluted is like applying wax on my hair, REALLY weighs it down, but the color is saturated enough that it's still really intense when mixed with normal conditioner.

I actually love Overtone for many of the reasons you don't like it. I like my color to last and fade slowly and I like the thicker formulation. I didn't have trouble gettimg the color out of my hair after it had faded over a lot of time.

Ik the black has that same purple undertone that the espresso brown has so if you don't wanna with deal that, wouldn't recommend their black shade. For some reason, all of Overtone's vivid shades come out of my hair with no issue if I use bleach to remove it; for reference, I've used almost all their vivid shades in the extreme lines on their own except the yellow (always mixed it with other colors) and some of their for brown hair vivid shades (I haven't used the orange/pink ones). I've typically used the ones that aren't as liquidy

I used Colour Oops today on my box black and my boyfriend got to experience the vile stench for the first time. I warned him ahead of time it's the worst smelling hair chemicals on the planet and he didn't believe me. He walked into the bathroom while I was processing and damn near puked Just know you're not alone on the hatred of the hellish egg scent of Colour Oops 😂

Love your videos! In cases like this would you be open to doing two rounds of bleach or a color remover then bleach just to see if it will come out all the way. Not all the time but in scenarios like this would have been interesting if the color remover got the first layer then the bleach can do the rest. Just an idea thanks a lot

With all your red swatches id love to see a video where right above the bleach you did color oops so it'd show a small line of the hair colored, then color oops and the bottom bleached so it shows how color oops would help on them. Just would be a neat idea since color oops is for red/orange and you have a bunch of red/orange swatches and often say to use that since bleach/color removers don't help often.

Its funny because I used espresso brown reccently to try and blend my mids to my dark roots (but kept my ends purple) I was wondering why my mids had a more purple undertone with every wash 😂 I just didn't expect any purple staining from a brown color.
