The cold water tip is so important. I used to have galaxy hair for a long long time and people always asked me how to get it, cause when they tried to do it always turned out all purple. I never understood way they couldn't get it, until the day I washed my hair with hot water and then my hair turned out entirely purple XD then I get it why my friends always ended up with purple hair when they attempt to do galaxy hair

tbh one of the most useful hair video ive seen in a while, you gained a new sub ❤️ i have a few questions tho: 1) i have oily hair and skin, and it usually takes me 3 rounds of shampoo when showering to get all the oil out, and when i use dry shampoo it also takes me a lot of shampooing to get the product out. im scared that my hair color is going to get stripped out fast if i shampoo excessively, is there any way to stop this? i also only wash my hair once or twice per week but its still oily. 2) is it a good idea dying your hair with a for example blue box dye, and after that letting it sit with blue arctic fox hair dye, will it have any affect or is it just a dumb idea lol thanks anyways!!! you are gorgeous

1) since you’re only washing your hair once a week shampooing it three times isn’t going to hurt it. I would just use sulfate free shampoo and try to only get the shampoo on your roots where the oils and product are. If your hair is blue I would add blue dye to your shampoo and conditioner so that way when you wash your hair you don’t have to worry about it fading as much👍🏻 2) and this depends on the level of box dye you are using if you dye your hair black and then put blue over it won’t affect the color that much. If you are dying your hair a medium to dark blue then you will see a difference. Since arctic fox is conditioner based it won’t hurt to try and if it doesn’t work, at least you got a deep conditioning treatment out of it! 😂💕

I also use arctic fox and use the same methods. My fade out is about 3 weeks, no matter the shade. I only heat style once, maybe twice a week and wash with COLD ass water. I use Pureology color hydrate shampoo/conditioner and only shampoo twice every 7 days. I do wash my hair more, but only use conditioner. How long does your color typically stay vibrant?

My hair never fades it’s amazing, I wash my hair once a week, never heat style and after 4-5 months of regrowth the coloured part was still almost as vibrant as when I got it done (I use brite hair dye from Priceline and leave it on for 2-3 hours)

I have super oily wavy hair, though I find it when I put gel or mousse in my hair. It helps to make the days of in-between washing a day or two longer. I have heard that when people with dyed hair also have oily hair, the dyed hair helps to keep the oils at bay a bit as well. Since the hair is a bit more dryer than usual.

Recently started using Arctic Fox because of other videos on your channel (I only do one color on my head at a time though) and have been trying to find ways to keep it vibrant longer!! I have eczema on my scalp so I have to wash my hair more than I use to wash it. I used to wash it once a week before. I have found that shampoos with sea salt work for me and helps not to have too much buildup. Now, I can wait 4 days instead of doing every other day

Joanna Uppin oh that's really bad my mum has eczema on the back on her scalp and she gets her hair done regularly and it irritates her BUT be careful when choosing products and if you want to dye your hair you probably won't be able to use harsh dyes

Washing with shampoo too often makes eczema.worse Try a cleansing conditioner. Much less harsh. Also start dousing your scalp in oils. Sunflower oil, grapeseed oil, pumpkin seed, rosehip seed, tamanu, black cumin (incredinle antiinflamatory) do some reswarch on oils such as carrier and plant oils (not so much essential.oils) and their benefits for eczema. Needs to be.cold pressed unrefined My girlfriwnd has psoriasis on her scalp really bad and i doused her in safflowet anfld.sunflower and black.cumin seed oil and she slept on it, then rinsed it the next morning and used an all natural shampoo (ALL natural....not 98%) and SLS FREE and her scalp has never been better. Oils are your friend. Over.production of oil is caused by the stripping of your natural oils

@@ovovlogs5312 thank u ! I may try this next I got Clorox spray at Walmart it can’t be direct bleach it has to be the spray . You have to spray it on a few times and let it sit for a few minutes do not spray it on your toilet it will change the color of your toilet.

Shampoo, really removes color, I noticed if I don't wash my hair for a couple days but then you shampoo a lot comes out. But if I just rinse my hair my hair isn't so oily but a lot less comes out.

Instead of mixing dye and shampoo you can buy a color bomb if you don't wanna use dye. It's basically conditioner with color. That's what i use instead of conditioner in the shower.

Have you ever tried a final rinse right after coloring of 50/50 water and white vinegar? I read on a blog that doing a final rinse of this mix will adjust the PH of your hair and close the cuticle so the color stays longer. If you have tried this, did you think it worked? Is it BS?

I have that bastiste one and when i had bright multi coloured hair it made my hair all thick and dry in a bad way... like it felt like straw that was the thick feeling of really thick yogurt. You can just rinse your head. If you have a detachable showerhead, use that to rinse with your head bent over the tub. I don't have a detachable showerhead, so here's what I do: I get in the shower, turn the water as cold as I can take it, and crane my head so only my hair/head is getting wet. Once it's wet I turn it warm while I shampoo, then back to cold to rinse it out. I do the same thing with conditioner. I also cover all my hair with a shower cap when I just want to take a warm shower, so the warm water doesn't touch the hair. Hope this helped :)

@@michelleryun2445 that's pretty normal, especially if you recently dyed it. It's a good idea to mix dye in with your shampoo and conditioner so you lose less dye each time you wash your hair :)

@@mandylee1950 usually I use the blonde purple shampoo as I feel it works well for my hair from my experience blonde purple shampoo works the best for like a medium purple and lavender tones but darker tones tend to after a wash or two start to go blue and a more cooler tone so if you are going to dye your hair Bright purple I would recommend that you try out both methods and see what works for you 😃
