As a matter of fact, you are right when you say that Indonesian pop songs are compatible with Western pop songs. Yet if you have time coming across lots of Indonesian traditional and cultural songs, they are very specific. They are more local in terms of language and rhythm, cannot be put on a par with Western songs. Have you watched the original version of this song? Payung teduh is a unique band in Indonesia, they mixed jazz, folk and keroncong (it's a Indonesian traditional music). I suggest you to watch the original one. Hanin sang in a different way, and she's good as always 😁

It's official, Hanin Dhiya is my daughter, I have adopted her. About not singing the Indian language or Hindi or Tamil lyrics in a western style, are you talking about slow songs or fast songs? I've listened to some Hindi songs e.g Main Tera Boyfriend which have got like this Reggaeton vibe. I'm a bit confused there.

About the topic of Indian singing (often influenced by Northern Hindustani style and Southern Carnatic style) and western singing styles, It's quite a complex subject. I am referring to the singing style not the instrument/music style. In the hindi song that you mentioned, you are right about the vibe. But if you look at the way in which the singers sing the lyrics of the song, the singing style is not Reggae. It is very much an Indian style. I may be totally off here but as an Indian who grew up there I can tell the difference. But of course, what do I know I am just blabbering whatever thought that comes into my head. Perhaps, a student of music theory would be able to define this more accurately :) haha! SomebodySaid its not her songs actually, she just cover popular songs in my country, and actually there are many debate about what she's doing. For this song case, the real band who wrote the song named payung teduh are really dissapointed because of what hanin did on youtube, because this song made hanin get many viewers from her cover, bigger than what payung teduh get. So the vocalist said they really want to retired from music industry if things worked like this way in the internet business. But after many people realise that it should payung teduh who get the most appreciation, they viewers on the video clip rising so high. No doubt, hanin talent in singing is a real deal, but she need to make her own songs or appreciate the real artist with royalty of her cover. But i dont know for the latest info, I hope the royalty works on both side so each can enjoy their work and share the beauty from it. The song is super popular in our local wedding party, almost every wedding play the song, it's like a theme song in here. But I can try to work the subtitle for you from each hanin song. Let see if i can do this song first from you tonight.

That's very interesting to hear, Dimas Irvan. It must feel disappointing to the original singers if they are getting sidelined , while Hanin Dhiya grows in popularity. The truth is people love her not because of the songs she picks but because of her voice. I do hope she comes up with some original songs soon! If she is not a gifted song writer, all she needs to do is collaborate with composers and lyricists who write songs for her. The music industry is a large place I am sure there is room for everyone to grow!

But the different is the original song is far bigger in getting viewers than the hanin version, so armada feel its ok as long as what hanin did make the song more popular. But i dont know about the royalty, I hope it works from hanin management to the real singer because they get tons of money from double digit million viewers. Yes I hope hanin make her own song or there are producer or song writer interest in creating her songs. But song creator, a real good one in Indonesia is very expensive, so either the artist should have brilliant creativity to create their own, or they have big capital to buy songs. So far, i think hanin enjoy for what she's doing and get from covering songs. So let see what she's up to in the near future about her talent. I think its enjoyable to see the artis pronounce the song lyrics while you know each of the meaning. Lets try.
