Apart from the exceptional performance of those young musicians, hats of to the ones responsible for the recording and mixing of that orchestra! It sounds phenomenal!

John Williams gets most of his recognition for Spielberg's"big" pictures, but personally, I think the soundtrack for this film was his best.

@@johndoherty487 I think djemblife meant that John Williams has received greater recognition for his scores for Spielberg blockbusters (Schindler's List, ET, Jaws, etc.) but that the score he wrote for this Spielberg movie, though not one of the "big" Spielberg movies, was one of Williams's best.

This is a fantastic performance! Those kids are very comfortable technically on their instruments without compromising the emotional part at all. Double bassist, saxophone and vibraphone soloist are particularly good. Bravo to all, including the conductor!

Fantastic performance by these talented soloists & orchestra. In this concert they also had 'Star trek into Darkness' performed. This standing ovation was well deserved. The class of 2019 are doing Poland proud. Thank you Akademia for this. Keeping a watchful eye for more of this concert. Once again, please send our congratulations to everyone involved at Akademia. One of my all time favorite film scores. The film is great, but Williams' score is absolutely brilliant. He managed to capture the quirkiness of the characters as well as the poignant elements. In many ways, composing a score like this is harder to do than all the Star Wars movies. The composer here has to walk a fine line. Williams always manages, somehow. Brilliant! I should mention the orchestra of, what appears to be a youth orchestra. A wonderful performance. Bravo!

Without a doubt one of the best performances I've ever heard! One of my favorite scores of all time performed perfectly. Thank you, thank you!

I like this soundtrack so much that I bought the CD years ago. I re-listened to it earlier this week and this performance rivals that of the Big-Shot Hollywood Orchestra on the Fancy Hollywood Soundstage of the OST. Clearly these kids have been practicing their music more than playing video games! Now it's impossible for me to play some of these themes on piano without hearing them doubled or tripled with tuned percussion in my mind, an affliction know as phantom xylophone syndrome.

@olachmiel77263 жыл бұрын

Great repect! Great achievement for such young musicians! John Williams' music is hard enough for veteran musicians and "catch me if you can" is one of his more complicated scores.
@jacquescarrier97135 жыл бұрын
wow, congratulations for this extraordinary performance of staggering accuracy. A complex musical work of jazz FOR FILM, contemporary and colorful ... The yellow shark of Frank Zappa is what comes closest here. They may be young, but they deliver here a mature performance worthy of the greatest orchestras. Maria Gmyrek imposes the rhythm and the reading of such variations. Here the accomplice of the conductor, Andrzej Kucybała, the symbiosis is perfect, they must all the while respect the breath of the score is saxophone for the work to give its rendering. Tymon Janusiewicz on the vibraphone is just as fantastic. Thank you from Quebec, Canada.
