I've always enjoyed Massenet's Meditation...for many years...I'm going to be 88 on 8/20...but Chanelle Bednarczyk's beautifull playing is most certainly appreciated...such feeling and talent!

The ensemble plays along with superb attention to every beat and with flawless rhythm, and correct rendering of the original Thaïs Meditation script. Yes, they are high school students in a school which is specializing in music. There are two kinds of music schools in Poland (before university). One where they learn general subjects in regular high school in the mornings and learn the music subjects in the music school in the evenings. This means they attend two schools. The second type is the musical high school where all the subjects (general and music) are combined and taught in one school during the day; kids on this video attend this type of school, and they are equivalent in age to the North American High School students.
