It's funny because you mentioned the point about Akademics saying "If people saw what I say in that Discord on a regular basis they'd be shocked" while I was sitting here checking my own Discord app. It's now occurred to me, maybe we should be reporting Akademics to DISCORD. They're the *actual* platform this was able to occur through, not Twitch, so that ban won't do much to stop this from happening again. Streaming just provided the recording/evidence, Discord provided the *means.* It all happened on a Discord call. We should also be expecting Discord to do something about the clearly exposed use of their platform to provide these grown adults access to children that they clearly can't be trusted with. It would at least help to contain Ak to those alternative "free speech" platforms if he can't have all his fans congregate in a Discord server. It's nearly 3am now, but tomorrow I'm gonna look up how Discord's system for reporting a user works and find a way to report him. Maybe if enough people do it, he'll lose access to Discord and any other kids he might have access to through it. If not, then we'll see where Discord stands on protecting kids on their platform. Either way, Discord should also be held accountable to take action since this literally happened through *their* platform. Because if anyone has the means to investigate what he's doing in that Discord that would have people "shocked" it's Discord themselves

The problem you have there is the entire Internet problem: can you hold a communication platform accountable for what communications are happening on our. Phone companies, gun manufacturers, and car manufacturers aren't paying fines when you scam someone over the phone, shoot them, or get into a car accident with them. A lot of people like to bring this up in the censorship debate. Marking something as fake news, true or not, is censorship and the platform now engaging in the content. If the platform is meditating content, then they would seem more liable.

Ak is a sociopath and a narcissist and displays symptoms of both here - saying the words "Im sorry" sandwiched between empty accusations amounting to gaslighting and trying to share/shovel his portion of the blame onto others. Trying to paint ten different pictures at once to downplay the seriousness of his role in all of this. A few things he tried to shift blame and/or attention towards: That being the general behavior in that discord server, as if that makes it okay. Him speaking more "like a big brother." That he's supposedly helped the kid out, so they're close enough to talk like that. Kendrick fans coming after him. Slow news day, unlucky break to focus on him. People just hating on him. Cancel culture. Revenge for him going after others so hard. Streamers being biased. Dogpiling for easy likes. *Others* being weird - especially Max, where he goes on tangents about how he gets no loyalty, like that would MATTER in a case like this! Saying the reason he doesnt want to talk about it more (while talking about it) is because there is nothing he can say without getting dragged for it. Saying he was forthcoming about the situation already without being straightforward in the least. Asserting that people are gonna think what they want to think regardless of what he does or says. Wall of text, I know - but these are ALL things he had to bring up in two streams across two days, in short conversations discussing the fallout of recent events (without even addressing the specific actions he did.) He attached all of these things to his supposed "apology" where he claimed he "takes accountability". Truly an excellent example of the worst ways to do both. Great vid - It's all happenin! ✌️

What catches my eye is how easily he seems to flip this into the classic "haters will hate" narrative, when it's such a serious topic that any well-adjusted adult would be so deeply ashamed of. For him this response is the same as Drake going on streams saying he was completely unphased by the events that took place during and after the beef. It's a cope. It's not real, he's also an actor. Acting like the tough guy that doesn't care about the "hate". It's easier to frame it as "hate", double down and make pause jokes, assure everyone that still "rocks" with him that he's rebuilt before so he'll do it again, than admit that there might be an issue with how he behaves. To me, this is a clear example of a deeply unserious person who does not want to grow up and does not want to take responsibility for himself or his actions. It's sad that he has a platform but at this point we should just try to ignore him in the community. Let his image and what he represents wither and dry up.
