As a a Mexican American, we are not entitled 2 any space on Kendrick’s Juneteenth pop out nor the Gnx .. so any inclusion or shout out is a massive handshake/olive branch and W ! 😊

Just proves you can't please everyone and it's crazy to hear how folks are or were made about small things.. Peyso had a good verse but Dody6 had the best guest verse on Hey Now. His voice and lyrics matched the best and vibe of the song... but how many Mexican artist pay homage to black artist and gangs? And why do we care or listen to Adam22. Colonizers shouldn't have a voice

@TheCompanyMan50 минут бұрын
There's enough content on this channel that should make it loudly apparent what I think about that. Joe's 53 years old talking about "radical black racists." That's that J. Edgar Hoover, COINTELPRO talk.

Hip hop seems to be losing its appeal and becoming cringe. It may follow the path of rock music, becoming less relevant and dying in the next decade.

Nah Justin, LA Eyekon didnt even know what Juneteenth was. The unification was clearly Bloods, Crips, & Pirus.... not everyone. You don't see the Asian/polynesian L.A gangs crying about not being represented on Juneteenth.

I'm so glad I ran into this page bro. Especially this video. I was a little tied up in. What's the beefs, dialogue and videos during the Kendrick And drake beef.. I got caught up in his videos for a minute, but I'm glad you're bringing this to the forefront. Because I don't like cats like him who only focus on our culture and what we got going on. With his lil I wanna be down face ass

Im very excited about this conversation as a black man, but its VERY complex. Thank you Justin for being unflinching about these conversations, youre the ideal kind of journalist to do this work, because youre great in conversations. Best in class. However, lets put some interesting points on the board on the topic of blacks, mexicans, puerto ricans and hip hop history. 1. Black people invented hip hop. Just like jazz, blues, rock ...FULL STOP. This is on the record, no one has to take anyones word for it. 2. Can one unify LA without the latino community? NO, but the popout was implicitly a black thang and that was WIDELY understood. Eyekon was wrong and envious, but we still give him love. Its OK, we all feel a way some times even when its not justified. 3. There is a VERY good reason for the historical disunity and tension between black and latinos. HINT: black ppl aint out here acting like we better than them, but its absolutely the other way around on that racist ish. Dont take my word, just go listen to some interviews from Lefty Gunplay himself. And on point 3, hip hop is literally internationally famous because we DONT be on that racist ish. All cultures participate in from LA to Japan. Latinos have been lovingly invited and have contributed. Respect to all the brown peoples of the world because we really are in this together. No need to steal, hate or take down one another over something we both deeply love and respect. The past is the past but theres no reason hip hop cant be even MORE brown. Let it happen, Im here for it.
