See most of the the time the people who comment don't have the expertise or experience in the field to give a qualifying opinion. Most people are all talk and no musical background. Me sitting in on ghostwiting session and being as though I have written for artists themselves gives me the right to comment. There are alot of words used in life to gloss over things that would otherwise make a person look bad. For example, if you say cowriting it will be more accepted then ghostwriting. Paying homage is a glossed over way to borrow from others instead of creating unique material. ;)

If you can't write for yourself how can you be credited for writing for someone else. Logically it doesn't make sense. The music game is a selfish game. Usually artists do the best work for themselves not give all their best work to the person paying him. Quentin Miller was getting a salary as a ghostwriter, not a cowriter. When you are working on projects in conjunction there are royalty splits involved but if you are on a payroll as a writer u usually don't complain. Young money had a long list of paid writers as well. short dawg, jae millz, gudda gudda, none of which ever complained about not dropping an album. They were on salary as staff writers for the label. When ur getting a check just to work on songs most people don't complain. Also another popular thing is to hear a dope song from a nobody and a popular person slapping his name on it and cutting you a check. I've seen it done.
