Two things can definitely be true but your truth is not the truth of the masses. It’s just yours. This song was not put out to be a “bop” or to have a “good hook” that you can twerk and smoke hookah to. The song was a “state of the union” moment where Kendrick has come to put his final stamp on how he’s been feeling since the battle occurred. He cut the head off the snake and now he’s addressing everyone else in the room and setting a tone. This is my opinion and I don’t expect everyone to agree with it. So yes, two things can be truthful at once but it’s just YOUR truth while someone else’s, MINE, is different. This is the beauty in having difference of opinion. Hope that makes sense for you.
