I just went camping in Hawaii and in Arkansas and found out a cooler is the perfect size to be a checked bag on Delta. I was able to get my tent, stove sleeping bag in the cooler and I was set.

Trillium* lake FYI .... Love Lat. falls we hike it 3-4 times a week alternating our direction on the loop. Saw you drive past Rooster Rock which has great wooded hike as well, just steer clear of the clothing optional beach ;)

After the BLM protests, Antifa set up in Portlamd for the rest of Covid, destroying downtown. Most businesses did not renew their leases. They then passed a law allowing open drug use, homeless amped up. Its just sad.

I Love Timberline Lodge. SO SO pretty. Ok, so Ive heard different stories about The Shining connection to the lodge. Ive either heard that it was filmed there OR I've heard that the opening scene is of the exterior of timberline and everything else was filmed at a different location. Secretly I prefer the second "intro scene only" theory so that I don't get scared walking around the lodge haha. I just tell myself, "You don't have to worry, it wasn't filmed here, it was just a pretty opening scene they used. No psycho twins around here" lol

The stores being shut down and the BLM signs are definitely a reminder from the tragedy a few years ago and the ongoing movement. Portland and Seattle are beautiful cities but the way the liberal leaders turn there backs on drug use makes them both disgusting. I only go to Portland or Seattle when I go to the airport. Fortunately both airports are on the out skirts of town. So glad you saw the beauty of the Gorge. It was an awesome place to grow up.
