I'm glad you find this tutorial helpful. Answer to your other question: I used an additional low pass filter after the send reverb because the filter integrated in the reverb plugin didn't sound good to my ears since it was letting too many high frequencies through and thus made the reverb appear bright instead of dark.

Finally, a sample-free tutorial! Am I the only one who got a Force and only/mainly want to use it with the integrated VSTs? Just seems way more fun to me, kinda like with the Roland 707 I had before...

I also prefer producing my tracks with internal or external synths and avoid using too many samples. What made you switch from the MC 707 to the Force?

Amazing tutorial, I'm having a lot of fun following it, thanks a lot for taking the time to make it and explain stuff so clearly. In case someone is getting frustrated about automation not being recorded to a clip, remember to enable automation recording in the mixer, took me a while to figure that one out

Thanks for your great videos, Wolfgang. Learned a lot from your videos and I love your techno sets. Looking forward to your next Force Video! For those interested: The arranger mode, the drum synth, the price drop and of course these videos made me decide it's now time for the Force. Tried the Octatrack: loved it (esp. the sequencer, fader and conditional trigs), but the workflow was too cumbersome for me (I do think that one day it will be back :)). Tried Push 2, great controller and build quality but don't want to be stuck to a laptop al the time. Tried Maschine Plus: great build quality (love the new encoders vs MK3 ones) but in my workflow I had big CPU issues causing audio crackles and pops so I'll stick to my MK3. Again, the new features and price drop makes the Force a very attractive device. Good luck deciding which one is best for you!

I'd like to thank you for your kind words and for subscribing to my channel. I value your comment a lot since you addressed all the "competitors" (or partners:-) of the force with the result that your personal preference and workflow decide which instrument/machine makes the most sense to you.

Consider videos to get newbies started on the instrument. It overwhelms even experienced producers, so newbies have virtually zero chance of operating it successfully. You're very good at showing the navigation. Thats what most leave out. I think you'd be very successful at it.

@wolfgang_grows Жыл бұрын

I am trying to understand one specific thing in your video. At 13.02 you show how you have a low pass filter loaded in the slot after the Reverb. To cut some high frequencies. All fine, I understand this. However...at 13:20 you are explaining how Reverb FX itself has a filters and you are using a LoFreq filter set at 155 Hz. So that everything that the reverb spit out below 155 Hz is cutted out to avoid muddiness etc. Again all fine I understand this. My question is how come you are not using the Hi Freq filter on the very same Reverb FX which is basically a LowPass filter (in your video it's set to 20Khz) but instead you loaded LowPass filter after the Reverb? Was it because of the sonics or more freedom that individual filters provide or you simply don't think about it? The reason why I am asking is that (no I am not trying to be smart or trying to find weird errors in your awesome video) isn't that the same thing? I mean by using Reverb filters likely one could achieve sonically the same result by using Filters on the reverb itself instead of loading one after the Reverb just for the sake of saving one insert slot? Over the weekend when I catch some time I will try your tutorial step by step and see for myself but until then I am just curious. Much respect for this video I love you, we need more people like you!!!
