Hey Hey...another way to get full velocity is to go to the Step Sequencer and the press the red light at the top right of the bottom right quadrant (I think that is a good way to say it). So the pads next to the 16 pads of the chops are the velocities, bottom left being quietest and top right being Full Velocity. Hope that makes any kind of sense LOL

So many people try to explain these processes and they just end up confusing you because they don't include important small steps and why they are necessary. my compliments to you for being so clear thank you. that's an auto sub from me

Thanks so much! I’ve definitely made some mental errors of not showing the right thing in a few videos I’ve posted throughout the last couple of years, but I’m hopefully getting better and better about not leaving anything out. I’m so glad you enjoyed it :)

In note mode, hit the note button again. All of the velocity settings will be in the botton-right quadrant of your pads. To the right of your sample pads.

I was wondering what your opinion would be about the force vs mpcx?
@BeauTylerMakesMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Well, I don’t have the MPC X, but I’ve been drooling over it since it came out and I’ll definitely buy it eventually or buy the next generation if that comes out. The MPC X is beast, but it all really comes down to what your workflow is. I enjoy making instrumentals, but as a songwriter I chose the Force because of its linear DAW-like arranger, which the MPC line doesn’t have. If you’re making instrumentals and like the loop based beat making that Maschine and MPCs are famous for then I’d say that the MPC X is the cream of the crop and you couldn’t chose anything better. However, if you’re wanting the more versatile arranger or are thinking about performing with it then I’d recommend the Akai Force.

@@BeauTylerMakesMusic Wonderful answer, thanks so much. I'm a songwriter and I feel like even if the x got better stuff with a coming update I would prefer the force for the size as not to be tied to a desk. I don't think I'd really need all the extra ins and outs of the x either and feel like the extra pads would be more beneficial for performance but wasn't really sure. It seems to me a lot of x people are really sleeping on the force especially with the latest update. Because of the look of the pad setup I think people are thinking it's just an ableton tool which from what I can gather through videos isn't the case at all. Anyway thanks again for your response, it was really helpful.

the warping sounds terrible. I hope akai gets this fixed. but I've been waiting for this for years…
