I love this I'm starting to understand that the Force opens up a completely new way of making music

Loving your channel, I just ordered a force and waiting for its arrival so found your videos in preparation, but your videos are great beyond even the technical part of using the force. I don't think I liked finding a channel this much since I found Belibat when I got my TR8-s, keep it up. I also loved that video they did about doing this in Ableton and even used it a few times.

Hi David, that’s really nice feedback, thank you! Yeah Belibat is great, really like those videos, and I have my eye on a TR8S at some point. Thanks for watching, I bet you can’t wait to get your hands on the Force. Have fun with it! 🙂

Thanks for your videos man. Got a force recently and I’m really good with gear but it’s really great to have someone like you dedicated to putting out content. Keep creating!

Really like this technique, gonna have to try this out with melodies and stuff. I use the arp trick to make some glitchy kinda sounds. I like to change up the arp speed as well and throw in some faster repeats
@MaxipokMusic2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that sounds great! I like to put a delay effect on and map a macro to the feedback so I can tweak that in real time with the arp too. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Interesting idea. Got a Waldorf mWXT here which is wavetable based. Get very evolving pad sounds out of that stepping through the wavetable. I think we get velocity > sample start point but that's about it on the Force. Have to try it with some glitchy percussion sounds as well.
@MaxipokMusic2 жыл бұрын
I’d love to get one of the Waldorf wavetable synths, as much for creating sounds to sample and chop up as anything else! Thanks for watching 🙂

@@MaxipokMusic Brought mine new in the late 90's. I think the latest generation they've released would be worth a look, expensive though!

@@gonzinigonz Yeah they look fantastic, really expensive though. I have half an eye on the Hydra Synth Explorer, seems like a decent cheaper option!

Hi Maxipok, great video once again! Question: why create the track using new samples? I think you can do this using slices right?
@MaxipokMusic2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yep you can absolutely do it with slices. This is just a force of habit thing for me really, whenever I make a kit out of slices I always create new samples, just so I can then time-stretch / pitch shift a single pad if I need to. Doesn’t matter for this example, but it can be handy if you chop up a vocal or melodic line to create a melodic kit.

Great stuff! Thanks for this tutorial. I'm also looking to see if there is a digitakt 1.50 style random slice player with crossfades and random play direction using LFO's for generative endless sound loops....If only the Force had a Granular style wave player/editor that you could get to scrub through a wave and make some original soundscapes! 😎
@MaxipokMusic Жыл бұрын
Yep that’s definitely a missing piece of the puzzle for Force, I hope they add it so I can stop gassing for an Octatrack! There’s a Force youtuber called Joe Filburn (Think that’s right) who did a tutorial on wave sequencing a while ago. Haven’t watched it yet, but it might have some ideas?

Hey! Thank you for the helpful video! I have one question. Just got my force today and it gets kind of warm on the screen and on the left side of the screen. Is it normal, or my unit may be faulty?
@MaxipokMusic2 жыл бұрын
Mine gets warm too, the power plugs in on the left side under the screen so there’s probably some capacitors under there. Sounds normal to me, as long as it’s warm rather than hot!

Few questions before I buy an MPC! Can this kind of Four Tet style sound/sampling be achieved on the Live II? Is it possible to do decent/seamless live sets? What are the benefits/main difference between a Force and a Live II? Thanks so much!!
