Easy, this is a live Q&A for new and old Akai Force users, and curious beat creators. Ask me stuff, and I'll show you what I know on this wonderful device.

Hi nicethings, Love your style man, I'm a noob musically and I Learn more from your tutorials than all the other tutorials I watch. Its hard work mentally but I'm getting there. My best friend is my Akai Force, I had an MPC X(Beautiful machine) but I just found it so hard to get into I had to let it go.

Keep them coming, I too am into the knowledge sharing to improve the art as a whole, all ships rise that way. Thanks for an other great one

Its only by sharing knowledge that the whole world advances. The worst thing that happened in that respect was when they invented Patents. Everything IMHO should be open source! I hate the American attitude in that respect!

These sessions are really helpful! I have a couple of quick questions regarding ~1:56:00... 1. do you know what the naming conventions represent on audio recordings. I agree it's hard to work with those long file names. 2. how does the fade in/out work? I've never been able to affect the audio, and I'm not even sure what the numbers represent. (selecting 1 = 1 bar? 1 beat? ) Again, thanks for the video! :-)

1. They're logs of the time each piece was recorded. If you intend to process edit, it's a good idea to rename them in sample edit, straight away. 2. Better to demonstrate, remind me on the next AFQAC with a question.

Is the force better than Ableton with he push 2?
@nicethings2 жыл бұрын
It's different; Ableton requires a computer, a decent audio interface, and the Push 2 device. This is a standalone machine that does nearly everything Ableton live 9.5 does, but in some ways, far faster.

If you're a Professional with loads of different gear to juggle then probably Ableton and push2 is the way to go. BUT if you don't have a proper studio with all the top end gear then the Akai Force is(for me at least) the way to go.
