Great videos! Small suggestion! Please talk about swing and creating a live feel with the mpc. The groove is just as important as the samples. Your quick beats definitely have groove. You breeze through the beats detailing the mechanics but please detail creating the groove. Is it the sample? Is it the swing setting? Is it the velocity? Why? When? Where? Do a video on creating the groove. Thanks!!! Really enjoy your video.

The swinging house beats are basically just an offshoot of well...swing/jazz. You could add a double bass, trumpet, sax etc and there you go.

These sound great. You’ve put together a really solid kit. Do you ever tune your drums to the key of the track? I also like that you recorded your TR909 drums to 1/4” tape. When I traded in my 909 for an MPC60 back in the early 90s, I recorded the sounds onto a Denton metal cassette 🙂
