Also great video on song mode. I travel alot, so I make most of my work on the live 2, then bring the files home and complete them on the mpc X. Song mode can get real creative, especially when you program your sequences certain ways

@@kirkstate I’m still experimenting with the X just getting used to the whole MPC environment so to speak. It’s a bit odd but it’s because I’m new to it and used to a different format. But I already see how much I’m gonna dig working in the MPC once I get it down. And there’s a definite difference in sound between MPC and Maschine. The X is banging!

I love the song mode and I like to convert song to sequences. Tip: when you go to different sequences make sure you use the same programs on each track or it will not sound correct if you convert from song to sequence. Love my mpc1. Love the x, but not sure if I should switch. Track at the end 🔥

@@kirkstate ok I see the difference. If you want to set up your song structure by hitting rec button then that’s the way to do it by pressing rec button. Also if you do it thru press insert and not pressing the rec button then you can’t structure your song by the pads only insert way will work

Definitely !!! And if you don’t care for a new song arrangement mode you don’t have to use it. I never met anyone in my life that uses or used the step sequencer mode
